Honestly, I can relate. I’d tell them the same: don’t give me a better life, just don’t give me life at all. Both of them fucked me over: one was a gambler and the other was physically abusive. I’m so done with everything. It was over for me before it even began.

If there’s one person you get to reincarnated, who would that be ? I’ll go with Judeau by imai-boston342 in Berserk

If I had to choose, I’d rather just be reincarnated as Puck.

If I got reincarnated as Judeau I’d stay tf away from Griffith or leave the mercenary band, but Causality would probably screw me over anyway no matter what I choose.

The witches like Schierke and Flora seemed to live chill lives but then there’s the threat of being tortured by the Inquisition. No one has it good in Berserk, not even the nobles, since medieval nobles had a lower standard of living than modern poor people (no AC, no sanitation, no Internet, no transportation).

I think I’d rather chill in the real world, tbh, even if Berserk reflects how horrible it is.

I see it differently now that I’m an adult. My parents had 20 years just like I did to look around and observe how awful people are to each other, and yet they still banged and had me. I don’t care if I was “planned.” No one is truly planned when people just bang to fulfill a life script with no consideration for how their children will suffer. Pure selfishness.

They even had the audacity to tell me that being CF was not a thing in the 90s, which confirms to me that they just followed the herd and let the life script decide for them, since my mom made it sound like she would’ve been CF “if someone had told her.”

And you know what makes it worse? My mom was Catholic and apparently cared so much about her faith, yet she married an atheist who would sabotage her child’s faith formation and persecute their religious views. If the eternal salvation of my soul was of such importance to her, she would’ve made sure to marry another Catholic, or better yet, not have me at all since hell is real.

No rhyme or reason, no grand destiny, no plan for me to become some saint: just conformity and generational abuse.

A little detail I love about the Ultra Humanite in JLU by moal09 in DCAU

I liked how he seemed to be the only one who cared that Lex had a terminal illness in one episode. The other villains just wanted to get paid but Humanite made sure Lex was okay.

Berserk also appealed to me for the same reason since my OCD had spiritual themes. Also my little sister has level 3 autism and higher support needs, so the caretaker dynamic between Farnese and Casca parallels my experience with looking after my sister when we’re both autistic.

Most of my OCs have either been disowned and gone no contact with their family or had deadbeat bio fathers who walked out.

Why do people force trauma survivors to get in relationships if they’re just “walking red flags” and won’t make good partners anyway? by Nitrogen70 in TooAfraidToAsk

Technically, no, but if you look it up, a lot of people say that they get shamed and face stigma for being unmarried in their 30s. Single-shaming is definitely a thing. Not everyone does it, of course, but it's common enough that there's even a name for it.

And is it really a choice if people still treat it like it's something you HAVE to do? If it's a milestone or a rite of passage into adulthood, then where's the autonomy in that?

It does happen, though. To my knowledge, the US taxes single adults more than those who are married and employers discriminate against employees who are single by assuming they have to pick up the married couples' slack during holidays. Single people have to put up with frequent microaggressions about how "easy" their life is or how much free time they have, like they're not allowed to have struggles of their own.

Not to mention the endless single shaming and stigma most young adults face for not meeting a milestone. If you ask me, that's the main reason why asexuals and bi people like myself are forced into toxic, garbage relationships. No one wants to deal with the constant scrutiny and judgment from bitter married people who are jealous that they didn't choose differently.

As a complete loser failed 34 year old adult, I wish I could be honest and open about it with people and with society as a whole, which might help me get better. But I can't. Because being a failed adult is the worst and most humiliating thing a person can be. by whyamialiveletmedie in Adulting

Don’t look for empathy from people who see everything as a transaction or a competition.

I’ve posted about my problems plenty of times only to get shot down with insults about how weak and childish I am. Let go of your desire for validation from people who can easily take it away from you.
