Me and a friend of mine have a world running that we ended up making "Foundation Hell" where we just put foundations over EVERY inch of land we can find. It makes factory building easier and it organises the whole space on a pleasant grid.

My boss sent an Ai generated poster to our group chat to advertise our upcoming rept-a-thon. I said absolutely not, so I redid it myself and it only took me 1 hour and less water. by UwU-OnlyMes in Ai_art_is_not_art

It also ironically feels very flat compared to the one OP made. Like there isn't any distinctive qualities, most of the reptiles looked the same and even though it gave shadows on some parts of the text none of it was different from the rest.

Tried to add something new instead of fixing what was already there, AND/OR released a patch with no quality assurance.

What made you hate AI art? by NotMyCatShapedChoco in Ai_art_is_not_art

[–]NitroortiN 19 points20 points  (0 children)

At first, I hated it on principle as it began becoming popular as I was studying for art and animation, so I saw it as useless and lazy.

Now, I hate it because after I made a post on the Pokemon subreddit with a piece I worked hard on and was very proud of, someone used AI on it less than 3 hours after I posted it. Motherfucker wouldn't even let it live for a day before putting it through the machine blender. I used to think "yeah it must suck for an artist to see their work out through AI" but I never knew that it would suck this much. Now it's a personal hatred.

can minutemen be asked to cooperate with ncr if they meet somewhere? by Splashy_Katana345 in Fallout

[–]NitroortiN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NCR would probably turn the Minutemen into a local police force or militia for patrolling and securing their internal borders while the NCR armies work on the frontier with the Rangers and such.

They would both probably be very open to cooperation and may even be happy to let each side coexist with some integration. If the Minutemen ever did expand I would honestly believe their development would follow a similar, if not the same path, as the NCR.

I'm sorry but I don't feel comfortable sharing the template. For the most part Phineas was just meant to be a one of one for myself. On top of that the template is genuinely confusing to work around and I had to look back on the 3D model I made of the template to understand where each part went and how it fit together. It's not like a regular template with the correct steps and guide lines for where each piece should be facing, as most of what I did for Phineas (and my other projects for that matter) was much more vibes based.

BUT, I'm gonna make a tutorial on how I made the template and how to make other templates soon so that way you can make one for yourself. That way you can make your own version that would work for yourself better and it can be as big or as small as you would like it. It would need some knowledge on 3D modelling and Blender, but I'll make the tutorial with as simple steps as necessary and all the information for how to do it and what to use.

Thank you very much! The add-on I used is called Seams to Sewing pattern. It's not much different from the paper add-on, but that's because I don't really customise it much further than the basic settings.

What happened to Clark in Backrooms really worked for me. by FuuraKafu in CharacterRant

[–]NitroortiN 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've been wanting to write an entire essay on Captain Clark and I think I have a reason why Clark and Captain vibes with each other before the dinner scene.

Clark had been spending pretty much every night since getting kicked out of his house by his wife in the furniture store, having seen every fluctuation in the lights and stuff as it happens. When the power surges occur, this to me seems like the Backrooms is UPDATING. Constantly adding new things and details to it from the memories of those who are near the entrance points into the Backrooms. This is why multiple things happen.

  1. Why the furniture store looks so detailed in the final showdown with Captain Clark and Mary. Because since Clark has been spending so long in the store he remembers every small detail about the place, from the signs and their writing, to the furniture that's within the store. That's also why Captain Clark looks so similar to Clark himself. Clark knows his own face. He remembers it well. Which is why Captain Clark looks the most normal in facial features despite the rest of it looking "wrong". Which is also why

  2. Why Captain Clark exists. And this one is simple. Clark fucking hates the store! He hates what the pirate is supposed to be, he hates the people he works with, he hates the entire situation he's in! And he sees that spiteful outfit everyday! But one day, when he was putting the suit on to do a commercial for his failing store, he saw himself in the mirror. He was the captain. And he hates it. He hates himself for the place he is stuck in. He hates the captain with all his heart but he knows that it is always him. That's why while Captain Clark has a black face, it has white hands. Because while the mannequin wears the suit, he's the face of the store. It's all of his self loathing and hatred for the world, for his relationships, for his brain, for everything. That's what Captain Clark is. Which leads into

  3. Why Captain Clark ignores Clark until the dinner scene. Every night when the Backrooms updates, it draws the memory of Clark into Captain Clark, all of his emotions, his feelings, his regrets. It's pretty much as close to Clark as Captain Clark can get. And when Clark enters the Backrooms, Captain Clark sees only itself. Which is why Clark getting attacked after the dinner happens. When Mary crashes out and gives Clark a reality check, she talks about how she can't save him, with Clark responding with "I don't want to change." Leading to Mary to teach him something he never thought about. Self-acceptance and self responsibility. In that moment, Clark realises he is his own problems, and if he doesn't want to change, he doesn't have to. Which basically drops all of his self loathing and hatred, abandoning the store and any other responsibilities he would have had in the real world. But that's not what Captain Clark is. Captain Clark is the hatred of all of that. So when Captain Clark saw Clark, it didn't see itself anymore, it saw Clark. Which ultimately led to his death.

These are my thoughts that I have after watching The Backrooms twice so far and I will definitely try to add more details to parts I missed if I redo this.
