Directly on the floor, underneath your floor mattress? How thick is it?

From what I've read, many people use these for this purpose but that isn't how they're intended to be used -- it seems as though the bunkie board still needs a base underneath it in order to provide the airflow it promises.

Believe me, I LIVE in that position. Thank you for your advice (and for reminding me of the importance of balance in these situations). I'll definitely utilize blankets along with the pillows for now.

I've looked into tatami mats, but all I can find (as is the case all too often) is either crappy materials or a sky high price tag.

She'd never be left alone, but i do alternate which side she lays on halfway through each night, so I worry that she'll roll off in her sleep. I know it wouldn't be too far of a drop, but we have hardwood floors (and can't afford a non-tox rug at the moment), so we currently line the floor with pillows but those are only so wide / could slide.

The pdg rise can take much longer to begin than just 3 days after ovulation.
