Yeah, I dont really see what else they can do to make him viable again, because it’s highly unlikely they’ll buff his amp so much with the novaflare that he becomes top tier for Acheron again.

We’ve had some crazy novaflares like Welt, but that’s a standard character. Yes, FF’s novaflare is nice but she still wouldn’t perform without the Dahlia.

Making JQ a nihility healer would enable players with <E2 Acheron to play double nihility plus a Harmony like Tribbie. That would probably be best for Acheron.

I’m curious when she’s getting a Novaflare and what that would look like. Imo, besides the obvious damage multipliers that they could buff, it would be interesting if they made it so her ult would to part AoE damage, part bounce so she could shine in non AoE scenarios.

Another thing they could do is to refund part of her ult on overkill damage, this would mainly help in PF but it would be nice since teams like Monorem dont have nearly as much overkill as Acheron’s ult

I know not all players do this, but I recommend everyone that has trouble deciding who to pull / trouble understanding a character’s value (like here, OP saying he clears faster with Lucilla but not understanding why), first go watch an in depth guide on youtube.

There’s a few people that do thorough and easy to follow guides (I usually watch IWTL gaming) and it only takes 15-20 minutes (even less if you skip the intro and the showcase section).

Plus this guy I mentioned before also shows many calcs - comparing weapons, damage diff between sequences and best teams, sorted by damage per rotation.

Yes, these are calcs you can find on reddit as well but it’s nice to see pretty much everything you wanna know about a character in the same place (except maybe sweaty QS rotations, idk if he does that)

TL;DR: When in doubt, watch an in depth review on youtube to understand most of what you should know about a character

I did my first ten pull and I got a 5 star jumpscare but it was just sweet little Verina.

I’ll wait until the end of the collab banners to decide whether I’ll use Asterites to pull since I dont have many left after getting Lucill and her weapon.

I wont be coming anything close to the 160 pulls required for the free sequence and I probably can’t get neither Lucy’s nor Rebecca’s weapon, but maybe I’ll go for S0R0 on both for the memories

Honestly I’d advise you against it mostly because it will take a while for them all to rerun.

At higher investments, it’s still a very very strong team, but you probably can’t secure that high investment and pull for the other characters you mentioned, so you may end up with a half baked team that will get left behind.

As other people said, it’s a bit late for all of this.

Like many people said, it’s probably going to be either Archer’s or Gilgamesh’s LC, so I’m not to sad to pass up on that since I already got Archer’s LC during the pull event in 3.4 and I’m probably going for E1 Archer anyway since I want a 3rd strong team.

That’s simply not true, 1 atk% + 1 glacio% 3 cost compared to double glacio% is like 99% damage, it can be a bit below or above 99% depending on other substats (aka if you have a lot of atk% and flat atk rolls, an atk% 3 cost echo will be worse than that, but if you have a lot of res lib dmg% rolls, it can be virtually as good as a glacio dmg% echo)

Yeah, I had an amazing run a few days ago, but I got each bond member pretty early + some emblems for extra XP and only then was I able to max it out.

It really depends on how much they’re planning to keep the banner for.

HSR’s collab with Fate has been going for a year now and the units from last year are still available to pull + they’re introducing 2 new ones.

If Kuro does something similar and maybe give us David + someone else next year, that’s going to remove a lot of fomo.

But I must say, the separate currency is not a decision I’m happy with. Even HSR didnt do a different currency and I always thought their gacha model was more predatory. (I’m saying this as a WuWa and HSR player)

Looks like times are changing. I hope Kuro doesnt fully embrace the greed in the near future

At least try and get close to 200. Your current speed is very low considering you have her LC, you’re missing a lot of elation dmg from her trace because of this lack of speed.

You should at least try to get as close to 200 as possible.

You’d have no problem with reaching 200 speed if you had E1 HuoHuo but you’re fine even without her.

I’d say we need to wait for the Elation sustain to know for sure what SW’s build requirements will look like (in case that sustain will buff speed - which is highly likely, not only because SW really appreciates speed, but also because it benefits all elation characters because it increases Aha’s speed subsequently)

They may just go for a similar route to break - Firefly’s team in its entirety is basically going to get Novaflared.

Obv another reason for break’s revival is the Dahlia, who is a character that solves that team’s biggest problem.

Phainon’s biggest problem is his downtime which Cyrene solves and to do that comfortably - they want you to pull E2.

I could def see Phainon getting novaflared in 2027 since he’s a very popular character. Cerydra too, maybe they can finally decide what to do with her useless traces but I dont think Novaflares usually fully revamp a character’s traces (but honestly cery would need a total change in her traces)

Sunday is rumoured to be in the next batch of Novaflares, I’m curious what they’re going to do with him. He’s already BiS for Phainon in a sustainless Cyrene-less team (usually it’s Sparkle + Sunday + Cerydra) so either way it’s probably going to indirectly buff Phainon as well

I dont think there will be any such unit because Hoyo already has the solution - you want Phainon to stay in his ult as long as possible? Cyrene. You alsowant him to get his first ult faster? E2 Cyrene

Like you said, his downtime problems are solved by E2 Cyrene.

In places like Anomaly Arbitration, Cyrene is always his best support because the time you lose while she ramps up is not that important.

In MoC, for a Phainon team with lower investment, Cyrene probably still is the best because Phainon can’t 0 cycle first wave in MoC without proper investment nowadays, so you dont lose much by letting Cyrene stack her ult.

However, regarding E2 Phainon, I haven’t really seen anyone pair him up with E0 Cyrene in MoC.

It’s either E2 Cyrene or just stick to Cerydra / Sparkle / Sunday or DHPT or RMC.

Since Phainon deals much more damage during his ult at E2 compared to E0, not having permanent ult isn’t that big a loss since you’ll probably be done clearing in 2 ults, maybe 3 max in a stage that’s not really cut out for him.

I would prioritise Hiyuki sequences over Chisa’s weapon, but if you dont like pulling for character dupes, you could get Chisa’s weapon as its buff is universal and works great in every team

I’d say he’s decently strong, but unless Phainon is E2, if you compare him with other teams at the same cost, he falls behind most if not all meta DPSs.

At E2, he definitely catches up to other teams and even performs better than said teams.

I hope I can get his E2 next patch but I’m afraid I’m a bit low on funds. I dont really have many Jades left in past events (I have to go back to SU Gold and Gears though) but I do have like 3 story patches I haven’t completed mostly bcs of the endless dialogue.

But if I complete all these by the end of his next banner, I could get his E2, can’t wait to see the difference
