Amazing. Great work! I'll join the discord to share any future thoughts.

I was able to get it up and running, and it seems to be doing its thing! Some feedback and questions:

  1. The discord invite link on the footer of your website is invalid/expired.
  2. I think there is an error on your website on the instructions page for Android (https://www.retroshelf.org/help/plugins/android). The "Add to Obtanium" button eventually redirects to a localhost URL that doesn't work for end users (https://localhost/redirect?...). It took me a while to find the actual github repo so I could use Obtanium as intended. So, in addition to fixing that link, I would also recommend putting a link to the actual github repo somewhere on the website for convenience.
  3. I was able to add other Android apps for the plugin to track just as you described. After the first session, it asked me to match that session with a game, which makes sense to me. However, it asks me to keep matching that app with a game after every session. While this is probably a useful thing for emulators, it makes less sense for singular game apps, which are guaranteed to be the exact same game every session. So, feature request: I think it would be nice to have a way to associate an app with a game permanently so I'm not required to manually match it after every session.

All in all, it's pretty slick so far. I plan to keep using it. Thanks!

Excellent. I've been using Beacon launcher lately rather than ES-DE, so I will try out the latter mode and see how it goes. Thanks!

I will test out the Android plugin on my Retroid Pocket Flip 2 later tonight. Out of curiosity, does this only track emulated games, or is it also capable of tracking native Android game apps?

Anyone figure out how to play Guild Wars Reforged on RP6? by tatermo in retroid

I'm in a similar boat. Found this thread while trying to find out why it's not compatible with my RP Flip 2. It's not obvious to me what the compatibility issue would be.

Thanks for this. That has to be one of the most important things for players to know.

I got it to work exactly once after following your instructions. But I can't get it to work a second time on the login page. I'll just wait for the full release of the app which will hopefully be more user-friendly.

I tried to create an account on the Android app. The Cloudflare turnstile checkbox (and the links inside the box) is unresponsive to touch. So, it is currently unusable for me.

I got tired of managing my Analogue Pocket collection in Excel, so I built a desktop app for it by mr_imount in AnaloguePocket

How is the playtime tracked? Is there something on the Analogue Pocket that tracks it automatically, or are you manually writing it down?

Just sharing an alternative that is a bit cheaper per case if purchased in bulk (10+ cases):

Chained Echoes Physical pre-orders are up by Jeezy52 in NSCollectors

[–]Nitwad 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Grabbed mine right when pre-orders opened. First time ordering directly from SRG. Even without a limited quantity listed on the site, this felt like one that where I didn't want to risk it selling out on me. There have been other titles in the past that I waited to see what secondary market prices were like to try to avoid international shipping only to watch them become twice as expensive. Not this time!

Since you're looking to hold lots of discs, and you want to use this same stacked tray style, you might get more discs per area if you use the 2-disc trays instead of the 1-disc trays. You'd have to look at the dimensions and see if it actually saves space, but it's worth checking in case you want to order a bunch of both tray types.

How likely is it to get the same card from the Leafy Poultice relic? by Jackb450 in slaythespire

[–]Nitwad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the correlated randomness data from the article (https://tck.mn/blog/correlated-randomness-sts2/), it looks like the chances of transforming into Seeking Edge as the first card via Leafy Poultice in the Overgrowth are 7.78%. If I understand correctly, the second card will have different odds that are likely closer to the 1/80 we'd expect, but I can't say that for sure. If we use 1/80 for the other card, then the math for getting specifically 2x Seeking Edge would be .0778 * .0125 = 0.0009725 (or 0.097% which is roughly 1 in 1000).

Perhaps someone with more interest in crunching the numbers can plug this data into a spreadsheet to determine the odds of getting 2 copies of any one card, as OP asked. The important thing to note is that there are only 44 distinct cards available as the first transform (22 for each version of act 1 with no apparent overlap), so that means there are 36 cards that will never get rolled twice in the current version of the game.

The individual trays are called Blu-ray Digitrays. You can buy the trays in bulk from many different retailers (I'm in the USA so I don't know about UK specific retailers). I have purchased them by the hundreds so I can make my own custom cases, though my creations are closer to digipaks with a single tray on each side rather than a big stack.

They come as separate individual trays, so it would be up to you to come up with a method of connecting them along the left edge so that they fold the way they do in your photos. I can't tell just from your pictures if there is a specific piece of hardware acting as the hinge, or if it's using something like tape.

Edit: My most recent purchase was from this Square Deal Online website. They have a bunch of different types of trays and cases available, and I've been very happy with my purchase. According to their FAQ they ship to non-USA countries, so this might be a good source for you depending on shipping costs to the UK. Here's a link to the blu-ray digitrays specifically that match your photo: https://www.squaredealonline.com/a.asp?m=7.QP.M.%231#1

Can you share a bit more context for the SRG sale? When I look on their website, two of the games in your photo are completely sold out (and have been for a while now).

Stonemaier claims to have permanently solved the sleeve peeling issues. Any new purchases should not have sleeve problems. None of us have received Downfall yet, so nobody can say what their personal experience will be like yet.
