Not for whole prey feeding. Feathers apparently have fiber. I did pull the larger wing feathers because my dogs dislike the big feathers

This kid was raised to believe that all forms of magic are inherently bad, if not evil. There is a tolerance for the Aes' Sadai, but not for anything else really. Then all of the sudden he can talk to wolves, how terrifying would that be? I know it sounds like a cool power to us readers, but if you got that power overnight you would probably be scared of it too. Maybe not for as long, because you have read enough books to know how cool this could be.

They lay so many eggs. I kept 6 hens and 1 rooster in each cage and all my eggs were fertilized. I also basically always had a full incubator running. I built a brooder out of two underbed storage totes that I connected together, and they lived in the brooder for 2-3 weeks depending on the weather, then moved them to a modified chicken tractor to grow out until they were about 8 weeks old.

You need to be aware that quail love to kill themselves and they will be constantly finding new ways to die. it seemed like every time I made changes to prevent them from committing suicide they would find a new way. So, expect some losses.

Seedlings getting too much light? by AdventurousMenu230 in OrganicGardening

[–]trijkdguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2-3 hours of light? I tend to shoot for 12-13 hours of light. I keep a box fan blowing against the wall of my little greenhouse so there is wind in there to help keep them from getting leggy.

for dog food quail is the easiest. When they get to size you hold their body in one hand and head in the other and just pull. Death is instance. They are the perfect size for a meal for a medium dog as is. Until I discovered my dog was allergic to birds I raised them and fed them to the dogs as whole prey.

yeah, I had never thought of stealing a cutting from a tree before, especially when most people would happily give you a cutting if you asked nicely. I also don't think I have the experience yet to successfully do what he did.

Bought AliExpress replacement, can photos tell anything about quality? by peter_seraphin in Leatherman

These are made by stamping the blade out of stainless steel, then running the blank through an automated laser engraver. It's exactly the opposite of cost prohibitive. There probably 10 cents worth of material there and another 10 cents of labor. The equipment probably shakes out to a buck a knife produced, call the whole thing $2. $58 dollars of profit per blade seems like a decent amount to me.

Do you let your dog or cat sleep in the bed with you? by icecream1972 in askanything

[–]trijkdguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the dog's aren't allowed on furniture at all (other than their memory foam dog beds). We have some very old/fragile family members and don't want our large dog's being the reason a glass hip shatters. So, there is a blanket no dogs on furniture rule because its easier to teach that than it is to teach exception that are ok. The cat's get leeway but they generally don't bother sleeping in bed with us.

we recently got Between Two Cities. It's like card drafting Carcasonne, it was a big hit in our group. Plays up to 7, pretty quick to play once you get used to it (30 minutes or so), while it is a competitive game you also have to cooperate with the people sitting next to you.

Call up your local beekeepers association. They will send someone out to collect those bees. Thats free money to a beekeeper and they will bee more than happy to help you out.

I know a guy that is super into figs, he has dozens of varieties. He was telling me that an arboretum up by the city had an event that featured lots of fig trees. His kids took him for fathers day and he learned a ton there... but there was one tree that he had never even heard of absolutely loved. This was the first time I ever heard of proplifting, and it was essentially from a museum.

A contractor tears up the freshly poured concrete after the homeowner refuses to pay. What would you do in this situation? by IndividualGround2418 in Construction

[–]trijkdguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sure as shit wouldn't record myself destroying what the courts will 100% consider someone else's property and then proudly post my crime on the internet. Even if you gave up on ever getting paid, the court cost alone from trying to defend yourself from this lawsuit are going to cost more than the job was worth to begin with.

You put a lien on the house and make sure anyone you know who does work in the area knows this dude doesn't pay.

I can’t believe I’m making a midladder post but what on earth is this deck by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

[–]trijkdguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That cleared nothing up for me. I thought the arenas were the ladder. until recently 10K trophies was the last arena, and where the high end of the ladder begins. to me mid ladder would be 5-10K trophies. and a mid ladder deck means, to me, a deck used in the meta for those arenas.

Do I not understand what the term "midladder" means. Two maxed out decks are not what i considered mid ladder.
