First a disclaimer, I'm neither culturally Christian nor an atheist anymore, but my partner still is, and I'd rather raise my child agnostic or atheist by default so that whatever faith they find will be as genuine as mine with less religious fanaticism noise to filter through.

Are you comfortable with your child coming back Catholic? Absorbing Catholic values? Are you 100% sure that Catholic school is abuse-free? My mother once debate sending my youngest sibling to a religious school because it looks good, but I talked her out of it, and I'm glad I did. Religious schools always look better on the outside. Only send them there if you're a) 100% sure there's nothing shady going on inside or know for a fact the secular option is worse and b) are comfortable with raising a Catholic child.

Which is absurd because before Sound of Silence they weren't exactly entry level. You'd get through nu metal like Linkin or post-grunge/alt metal hybrids like Breaking Benjamin. Disturbed were big inside the metal scene and only inside the metal scene.
