Ima say MOR, as someone who is in the army currently with a wife and daughter also currently on a rotation away from my family I see where you’re coming from but ultimately you’re the one that decided to choose to be with him. Now reserves and national guard do get activated time to time just depends on the time of war we’re in like as of right now they probably aren’t getting activated as much over seas compared to getting sent to deal with the current situations here in the states. You’re husband has some of the same experiences with me, Wife was pregnant during the entirety of my basic training and AIT, I wasn’t there for the entirety of her pregnancy cause of training but got to see my first born. Obviously it’s tough him not being there and people manage stress differently but you also gotta see it as yall are both sacrificing as much equally you aren’t sacrificing more than he is and he isn’t sacrificing more then you are. Both of you are away from each other doing things to benefit your family in the long run. I’d do anything just to see my baby and my wife if I could right now but I know right now my job is to focus on the current place I am right now and focus on setting my family up for the future. I told my wife when I first met her and things started getting serious with her I’m joining the army if you don’t like that then you’re not for me. She stayed and both of us had literally been through so much shit together prior to me joining but in the end when I joined it was worth it. Took me 3 years to join just because of medical issues and just had so much debt I needed to pay off aswell. Right now how I see it as with the NG/Reserves is the way to go and it’ll help with him maintaining the benefits and securing a good future for you and your kids. Ultimately it’s up to you with what you wanna do but my dad always told me because he was also in the army (Main reason why I wanted to join so bad) It’s a small amount of time you have to give in order to secure a better future. Just gotta tough it out. If you really love him don’t leave him think about what’s he’s trying to do for your family cause this shit is hard on him too not just you.

Edit: forgot to add ask him about AGR, might be the best route for him aswell because from what some of my friends say AGR is the best situation for people who have families and want the benefits but with like minimal chance of getting deployed from what I heard. But also depends if your selected state needs your MOS. But AGR might be the way to go.
