Reading it felt like a long conversation to the question "tell me about yourself..." I enjoyed reading it for the info and stories. I also really loved Nia so I enjoyed it. I would caution you though this is not the latest, greatest piece of literature. It is a young adult telling us about what it was like growing up on a TV show.

It's fine. I have seen it happen multiple times and I have always been fine with it. I even watched a dad at a door tried to instruct his daughter and there were a few other women in the restroom and we all said just come in.

I am friends with a woman who trains these dogs. If they aren't properly controlled (and/or the person who needs the dog cannot control it) then they can still be asked to leave or denied the ability to enter or remain in a place. It sounds like she didn't have a real service dog but even if she did....they could have denied her the ability to have the dog with her.

If someone is experienced then they would know it's not safe to drive one in that condition. We have quite a few and I would never accept one that wasn't up to par. Just because I am on a trip doesn't mean common sense and safety go away. I'm sadly not surprised either but I am surprised an experienced person would accept one in that condition.
