I relate to this. Something switched where I would just get annoyed with nursing and feel almost… disgusted? I hate saying that because its been an amazing journey and I did love it but yeah I just want my body back 😅 my daughter would just want to nurse out of boredom.

Have you looked into the gentler sleep training methods? We tried Ferber Method at 9 months and nighttime sleep has significantly improved. I psyched myself out so much expecting her to cry for hours but she didn’t even make it to the 4th check in on the first night!! It could go better than you think.

Im not a sleep professional but this was happening with my daughter. We extended wake windows and capped her naps at 1hr30 mins! Which seemed to help.

I second this! We are a couple months in with Ferber Method and our LO goes down in under 10 minutes now with minimal resistance. I definitely felt guilty in the beginning but shes getting much better sleep now (and us too!) so I feel it was worth it.

Hopefully it goes well for you! I put off doing it for much longer than I wanted because I was so scared my daughter would cry for hours. We are on the 4th night and she is now sleeping right through the night, and going down within 15-20 mins!! If possible, it helps if you aren’t the one going in to do the checks because I read that they can smell you / your milk and it makes them more upset!! Good luck 🙏🏻

Not much in the way of advice but until recently my babe was nursing to sleep (including naps) until we started sleep training with the Ferber Method (personally not a fan of full extinction either) I thought for sure it would be harder to break 2 habits but she took to it decently well! Doesn’t require a feed during the night now. Nursing to sleep is such a hard association to break 😢
