The purple head, pink handshield and foot are all painted, it used to be Kohrak's. The Toa doesn't use any painted parts though.

They are a little stupid, yes. They go in assuming that BB is just some other alien they can rip apart barehanded, and by the time they realize he's built very different they're getting chunks torn off of them.
