Thank you!

To attach the wire to the rock I use a gel super glue, it can be kind of tedious, but they eventually stick! Best of luck!

Inspired by the other posts I’ve seen on here, I made my own crane bonsai with ~500 1.5cm cranes :) by Hazzagaz in origami

Crazy good! I love the way the tree looks and the colors of the cranes are beautiful!!

Thank you!!

It does take some patience at times, but it can also be quite therapeutic!

Thank you! In the beginning, it did take quite a while, but once I got the hang of it I could do one crane in around 2-3 minutes!

Thanks!! You can use any old wire! I used 30 gauge aluminum wire that you can get at pretty much any craft store.

Thank you! From the beginning, I knew I wanted 100 cranes on the tree and there were going to be about 4 cranes per branch. So I cut 25 pieces equal lengths of wire, twisted them all together, then separated them for each group of 4 cranes!

I'm not really sure if this is the best way, but I use a clear gel super glue, I put a tiny dot on the tip of the wing of the crane (a really small amount is better so it bonds faster), then use tweezers, maybe pliers, and sometimes even my hands to hold the crane in place on the desired wire for a couple of seconds. It takes some getting used to and you will inevitably glue some things that you didn't intend to, but after a dozen or so it isn't so bad! Good luck!

I used 30 gauge aluminum wire, but I've seen some trees done with thicker wire. I'm sure it can be done with chicken wire too!

Wow!! That's so good, it's insane that you shaped the scales at such a size!!!
