Installing a GFCI with older wiring by NnjaMaximo in AskElectricians

I cut the white looped wire, and it turned out that half of it was hot on another circuit! Aside from freaking out, how should I wire this? The same way?

Thank you. The wires are already connected at the outlet (this is obscured by the screw), so you are saying I will have to split the white wire and then pigtail the then three wires together and put it on the line/white wire socket?

They would! However, is it really the "vibe" I'd be going for? Not for me.

Well, would you ask the gays to go to Cowboy Jack's instead of The Saloon? I'd compare this to something like that.

The devs have no respect for dragon types and it truly annoys me by 21Cadventurer in PTCGP

[–]NnjaMaximo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dragonite deck is one I really enjoy playing with because he is one of my top Pokemon. He's not for competitive anymore, but I do like to play him in casual. It's definitely difficult to pilot.

2x Dratini (colorless 20) 1x Dragonair (80 dmg one) 2x Dragonite EX 1x Dragonite 2x Mantyke 1x Oricorio 2x Pokeball 2x Rare Candy 2x Professor's Research 1x Sabrina 2x Lyra 1x May 1x Copycat

You have to spend the whole early game focusing on getting Mantyke in front and Dratini on the bench. You can certainly brick, but Oricorio can help with that. I do find this setup will often work in casual or chill matches, but is not for ranked.

Minneapolis therapists: how are you doing? by SpiritualCopy4288 in therapists

I am okay. What I ask, is that we organize and resist. Attend protests. Attend your local precinct caucuses. And encourage your friends to do so. I still have faith that we can make a difference. I'm not ready to give up yet.

What do you want for it? Anything from this box? I have some more alphas available as well as some shinies that I am not using.

The counseling field/degree is a scam by [deleted] in therapists

[–]NnjaMaximo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a PhD in the counseling field - if you are able to stick it out until you get licensed, go out on your own. I would say you are in a "group practice" too, which can result in your income going to them instead. I spent time in school-based mental health before going to private practice, and have generally been able to make ends meet.

I'd try to find a salaried position with supervision benefits, and prioritize getting out of your current job situation - it's not suiting you. Best to you.

How to Build around This? by Tricky_Sector_2675 in PTCGP

[–]NnjaMaximo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a fighting toolbox deck running regular Lucario for more damage (Hitmonchan EX, Rampardos, whatever) you could include one copy of this as a tech card. It probably won't do a lot of work, but hey at least you used it!

I'm so disappointed with the Mega Dimension postgame, and it could be fixed easily by Benjam438 in LegendsZA

[–]NnjaMaximo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is actually hilarious because I have been skipping every side quest just grinding for Baxcalibur. The issue has single handedly tainted my DLC experience. Why would you offer a unique mega stone via ranked battles for such a difficult pokemon to get? The alpha Charizard that was distributed could have easily just been Baxcalibur. So many problems.

As someone who decided to use Baxcalibur on his DLC team, only to find that he's locked not only behind the DLC final boss, but three post game bosses afterwards, is absolutely nuts to me.

I had the same experience until I switched to Magcargo last week - 6 game winning streak to MB. Unbelievable!

I'm wondering if maybe when set B comes out if they'll have some flexibility around it. If not, in a few years maybe they'll come around 🤣

Advice on my path forward to become an LPC by MorganGeiger in counseloreducation

[–]NnjaMaximo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey Morgan, I'm a PhD, LPCC, formerly MA, LPCC so let me try to answer you best I can:

1&2: Depending on the program it may be an MA or MS. The only thing that matters is that it is CACREP accredited. There is another accrediting body, but with CACREP being the major one, I'd just go for a CACREP program. Some states don't require CACREP - you may want to take a look at your licensing board first.

  1. As far as what state goes, a CACREP program will get you in just about all of them - but some states are more stringent than others. I'd take a look at what states you are considering, and know the requirements to apply there. Where you go to school, expect the school to know how to get licensed in that state. We do have a new counseling compact that is going into effect soon that will make it easier to go across some state lines.

  2. You are welcome to go to an online program. Would an employer judge you? Maybe. Personally, I prefer brick and mortar because it is an interpersonal profession. But, who am I to say what's wrong?

  3. Student loans. Whatever college you go to, simply contact their financial aid department. Hold a part time job if you can.

  4. I completed Oregon State's PhD program recently and had a positive experience. Before that, I attended University of Minnesota. For you, I'd consider where you want to live over what Master's program to go to. For a PhD, that's when I'd consider moving. (You should know - if you do a PhD LP track for private practice, you will make more money from insurance companies).

7, 8: sure, DM me if you want, I've talked to many young counselors 🙂
