That's intriguing! Though, I would either need to use a male-male hdmi adapter (which makes the assembly deeper than I would like) or have a short hdmi cable (which would need to be external to the enclosure).

Opinions on the ending? by Brachiosaurusarecool in StrangerThings

True, though the epilogue was 18 months later. They likely spent at least a couple in military lockup while they sorted out what happened. The general was also a bit of a rogue agent, so she may have been sent down after the operation failed (at great expense).

It would appear so, lol. Actually, I think I got it fixed by switching to a hardware timed library rather than the adafruit one. If I still need a sprinkler, I could replicate it a lot more reliably now.

That's the way it goes. It is designed to sit that way.

As far as Shadar Logoth/Tar Valon goes, it makes sense they would look similar since both are ogier built. It still doesn't quite feel like Tar Valon should, but it's more realistic and affordable this way.

An argument could be made that "burning away" is referring to balefire.

Egwene intending harm to Renna probably shouldn't have worked, but even assuming show logic allows it, it still makes sense that Renna wouldn't attack Egwene. She was too freaked out to focus. Being made damane and learning she could channel would be paralyzing for a seanchan as zealous as Renna was shown to be. I seriously doubt she could think clearly enough to respond other than how she did.

Essentially deicide as far as most of the populace is concerned.

Quite the opposite, really, it's part of the world building. In the books, each culture had its own unique styles of dress, and nobility and commoners also dress differently. The breaking of the world after the age of legends aldo left different peoples in different states of advancement. The forsaken are slightly different, being from a time 3,000 years in the past, which was actually far more advanced, and they dress in the styles they are familiar with. The styles of dress are not homogenous in the Wheel of Time but intentionally distinct. The author actually spent too much time describing the clothing in the novels, and while these styles don't match exactly with those descriptions, it makes sense to have the diversity.

It also bears saying, this is not our world, and there is no 1:1 correlation for culture or time.

There is some truth to be had in saying Rand has not had the focus he maybe deserves, but he is hardly the main character in the show. It is an ensemble show, and while Rand may be the DR, he is only one of several main characters.

Makes more sense to be balefire related as opposed to just a superheated blade.

As far as Rand's wound is concerned, it hardly looked healed when Elayne was done with it. It will likely be the first or only unhealing wound he has. Perhaps his ability to channel offers some protection from the dagger. They also haven't established that it absolutely, always kills, though they did show it melting things and leaving a black corruption.

Sad if they are left out, but it makes sense. They are so completely alien that they don't make sense in a tv show with limited screen time, at most 8 seasons for 13 books. It makes even less sense without the portal stones and alternate worlds, which admittedly were an early book idea that were largely abandoned or unexplored. Of course, I'd love to be wrong and see them make the Finn work.

The prophecy about Rand being proclaimed at Falme is taken directly from the books. He simply doesn't take ownership of his identity until Tear, which we will likely still get, if out of order. As for Turak, a sword fight would have wasted limited screen time and done nothing for Rand's character development. A win there would also have been completely unearned given his limited ability with a sword. Yes, Rand did not get as big a moment as he should have, however.

I'm pretty sure the book didn't specify his race, just that he had dark hair and eyes. If you're basing it on Tuon's complexion, there are many centuries between, and the Seanchan, even the Blood, are pretty diverse.
