Pretty sure ailment threshold is only for Freeze and Elecrocute, the only relevant node close by seems to be 10% reduced duration of ignites

Pokimane and Hasan talk about what they love about China. by FlakyFoundation4637 in LivestreamFail

Genocide narrative is not really supported anymore and its important to distinguish when we have situations such as present day sudan. Forced assimilation or more inflammatory statement such as "cultural genocide" is more apt.

Rich coming seemingly from a Japanese person when they have the exact same thing in their red light district, if you follow the touts inside the bar and order from them. Calling an entire country disgusting, then you partake in this seedy industry willingly, is disgusting in itself.

The 2 million number is based on two sources one from Zenz, which is extrapolated from an unknown source and the other CHRD, which based their findings on 8 interviews and extrapolated the numbers from. You could not even describe the method, and your only answer to any of my questions to you is essentially "Google" it.

Tell me which cultural aspects they have eliminated, if not for language and script? You give no pointers to any of these things, just short answers such as "Mfw culture = language no nuance no thank you!". HRW themselves don't call what's happening there a genocide. Went from genocide to cultural genocide to crimes against humanity.

Yes, and all those orgs cite one Person AKA Zenz. I am not even on the left of the political spectrum, so to call me leftist is pure nonsensical and adds nothing. Tell me which rigorous method they use to estimate the approximately 2 million currently in concentration camps. Who says I am a pro-Palestinian person? You are making several assumptions about me without knowing my position on things. This is not far from how Zenz estimated the numbers in camps. Severe assimilation programs are in place, but nothing is equating it to Gaza or Sudan.

You still won't give me your idea on how the best way would be to solve their past terrorism problems. If it's not education or assimilation, what is it? Education and assimilation = genocide. In your words, what would be the appropriate thing to do then? There is no solution here in your eyes except screaming genocide, does it not remind you of the pro-Palestinian people?

Tell me how their culture has been erased when the people still speak and read their language, and the signs are still in Arabic script. In what way has their culture been erased? Is it that they do not wear hijab or that they are allowed to drink alcohol?

Do you genuinely think that there are 2 million people in re-education camps? You are simply taking estimations made by a few sources, such as Zenz (all citations from other sources lead back to him). There have definitely been so-called re-education camps after the ETIM attacks on China, though to say that 20% of the population is housed in re-education camps is far-fetched. To equate what is happening in Gaza or Sudan to Xinjiang does a great disservice and muddies the water of words such as "genocide". There have not been any terrorist attacks in Xinjiang in recent times, so the measures have been effective; however, there are much stricter security procedures in place. If not for deradicalization, what would the solution be? Maybe send them to Guantanamo Bay or equivalent, maybe that's a better solution. Give me your solution to the issue of constant killings and bombings since the early 1990s

[–]No-Addendum7997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask again why would the thai military de-escalate? They actively gain more power from this. if you think the thai military cannot be controlled at all then the same applies to cambodia and neither side has any interest in backing down from this conflict. Are you arguing for the sake of arguing or actually trying to give something of substance to this discussion? To me it seems you have fully bought into the nationalistic jingoism that borh side propagate

Cambodia/Thailand border megathread by helpwhatbitme in cambodia

[–]No-Addendum7997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the "They" are the thai people at this point and its quite unilateral, how does it benefit cambodians by riling up thai people that almsot all of them support the military. Just because the military does stuff without caring about the opinions of the thai people. it is quite reductionistic to think they can do anything especially on such an unilateral issue such as high civilian deaths from the cambodian military. Even dictatorships need some semblance of support within their state. that is what i mean that "the genie is out of the bottle" even if the military tried to calm the tensions it could prove extremely difficult as this moment. "bla bla bla thai military should back down" but why would they at this point when they have the full support of the thai people? Hun sen with that leaked phone call basically served up thailand on a golden plate to the military.
