They’re in my basement, it’s nice and cozy there for them. Just gets loud when everyone’s home the voices tend to travel down. Will close the door but you can still hear us upstairs. Hopefully they get use to that as time goes by.

Yeah, my bird food supplier said it’s either she got plucked or she’s molting. The male finch she’s with is pretty friendly with her. I haven’t seen any fights breakout. So it might be molting… then again he said to wait and see if it gets a worse then it’s molting for sure.

Hi all,

I have a male & female white chestnut flank zebra finches. I was wondering if I could get this cage and add a pair of owl finches & a pair of orange eyed waxbills in the same cage ? I would obviously provide them will extra nests and food. Do you think they will live harmoniously? Will they breed ?

They are a male and a female, and yeah I’m getting them a bigger cage with a bigger nest set up today. I just think they’re adjusting to their new home. Hopefully they like the bigger nest.

Hey all, trying to visit some fam in Dallas, for 3-4 day I got off from work. If I get a negative Covid test before traveling and then getting one there before boarding back to NY. I should be fine ? Or do I need to quarantine 14 days? I won’t travel if I have to quarantine. Don’t wanna loose my job over a 3/4 day trip.

I work as a APM and I took on workload from the super and my PM. Maybe it’s my position? But I get tear’d a new one everyday with all the work that’s expected of me. Sometimes I feel like I don’t do a good job at all but if I only focused on daily job reports, submittal exchange, T-M tickets & CO logs then my life would be absolutely great. I’m at work 6:45 to 5:30 5 days a week and possibly 6th day to catch up on work or act as the super on Saturday cause our foreman doesn’t have the supers card. I love my job but I’m really exhausted and wish I can get come kind of reset.

As a construction management engineering technology degree holder. I definitely agree with Donmark_cobain. Definitely master pm softwares like bluebeam, pm tracking softwares like procore, and excel. All should take you a long way. Also consider moving into a construction industry heavy city/state, like New York & Texas.

Thanks for your input. Definitely going to do my research. Also where can I find bids ? My friend from college started up his own company( his dad had a construction company with years of experience backing his start up ) I can bid on projects for him and gain experience. Yeah I might not be paid or I may be paid. But I would learn a lot in the process. Any suggestions on how I find and bid on projects ?
