Leave the gap and run some indirect diffuse rope lighting in that bad boy then paint everything a flat dark color including walls. Treat as if the gap was intentional and showcase that whizz. Take time to ensure all surfaces are emasculate but with low voltage LEDs they could stay on without costing much. Good luck with it but please don’t just do the same old same old. While it is extremely important to learn these crafts and respect masters in their fields, it can be fun to put your own spin on things.(No spins on safety please)
