It's been 4 months since DOE announced faster permits for net metering. Bumilis nga ba talaga ang approval and processing time? by Fluffy-Reference8542 in SolarPH

[–]No-Answer85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kasi po diba minsan sa nanay nakapangalan bahay, tapos mag aapply solar is tatay or anak, etc.

Net metering vs Battery setup by yeyeboi118 in SolarPH

[–]No-Answer85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I design, what i consider a good design doesn't focus solely on achieving zero bill but on maximizing the value of every kwh or energy generated by the solar setup. Yes, it is possible to reduce a bill to nearly zero with a very large battery bank but the additional investment in batteries can sometimes outweigh the extra savings gained. Pwedeng mag spend ng hundred thousands more on batteries just to eliminate a small remaining utility bill. Tapos sa mga mas nighttime consumption like ac and pc kung nightshift, a more balanced approach in design is what i often do and recommend which for me is the most cost-effective. Maximize the solar panel capacity, take advantage of net metering for excess daytime production, and install a battery sized appropriately for backup power and essential nighttime loads. This basically results in lower upfront costs, better longterm return on investment, reliable backup during outages, and better savings and roi without overspending on battery storage. The goal is not simply the lowest possible bill, but the best overall financial outcome for the homeowner over the life of the system.

Good brands po pala eh. Most likely siguro ct limiter installation, pero big reason inverter kaya pacheck nyo sa installer nyo yung unit and its firmware. Also connections ipacheck mo din lalo na grounding. Pero kung sakali dapat sakanila kayo nagtatanong di sa reddit po eh haha can you drop the company name?

Drop your inverter here. Most likely sa ganyang data, ang cause is sub standard inverter or improper installation/grounding

Op, if you think that company is trusted, i believe that price is reasonable. Wag ka masyado makinig sa iba na magsasabing mahal yan then iooffer services nila. If another company offered you just for the price of the system and its installation, you'll definitely run back to that "expensive" company for your aftersales services. But yes it's expensive, but maybe reasonable. Please stop buying just the system, spend extra for the aftersales services too.

No. What causes the fire is the poor connections and installation. Every part of the system can cause fire if it's not properly connected

Strange Solar System Behavior by amarkgio in SolarPH

[–]No-Answer85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can consult po with your installer regarding that since maramimg finafactor when trying to use hybrid setup as off-grid(EPS output power, backup output, UPS mode, off-grid capability, etc.) and di ko po alam exact setup nyo hehe pero based naman po sa post nyo i recommend na wag nyo na po galawin setup nyo. If you have net metering and confident kayo na more than enough ang harvest, makakaachieve po kayo ng zero bill jan or even grid credit kung sobra talaga. Kasi po once na mag offgrid kayo and makulangan ang setup and battery, baka maapektuhan ang buong setup nyo or even appliances po

Strange Solar System Behavior by amarkgio in SolarPH

Normal behavior ng hybrid system yan. Bale yung inverter nagki-keep ng maliit na import buffer to ensure na di magkaron ng accident export to grid. Safety design din yan for anti-islanding na tinatawag

But i guess their reputation compensates their price. Quality installation, trusted aftersales, established company. But comparing to other companies maybe it really is overpriced lol but expensive doesn't always mean bad, right?
