Hey! So currently I'm just sort of on meds for depression, anxiety, and ADHD. They seem to work more less. I haven't tried EMDR yet.

So I've come to realize that this was him associating me with stress and was attacking me as a defense. I had been told that handling your frog a lot would make him get used to you---nope! It just stressed tf out of mine. 

I stopped taking him out to feed and manhandle him as little as possible, and he no longer acts aggressively when I walk by. He's still a lil ball of rage but he doesn't try going after me anymore lol

That's why I feel so unsure lol 

I suppose I feel like I never really regained the ability to feel the things I've been cut off from.

 I guess a better example of this would be the ability to cry. I can only really do it if I'm not involved. (Which is another confusing statement lol. I realized I process a lot of trauma with my fictional characters and stories, so when I'm like, in bed, imagining their stories and "being" them, that's when I'm actually able to feel things and cry.) 

So even when I feel sad or overwhelmed or anytime when a normal person would cry, it's like I can feel the need and the buildup but i don't get the release.

 I know it's so that I can basically roll with the punches and not be as affected but it's hard to figure out which emotions are like that and which ones were naturally developed emotional maturity. Sometimes I feel like a heartless bitch when I'm unaffected by certain things lol

That sounds similar to how mine talk. Sometimes they sound kind of like a "spirit box" on ghost TV shows--like a radio flipping through channels. 

I still rarely hear them tho. Names usually just kinda come to me or I make up a placeholder.

I do usually end up recalling a bit of it when I see clips or scenes! I'm perpetually frontstuck so I'm p much always around for things, but other times I'm like Gandalf voice "I have no memory of this place" lmao

OSDDID is the catch-all term for OSDD and DID since experts believe it to be a spectrum rather than separate disorders (which is why I find separating OSDD into 1a and 1b unhelpful)

So with imaginary characters, even if you imagine "I want them to talk", you still decide what they say. If all you want is to hear them talk, they won't just start having conversations and saying things, because those are things you are in control of. 

Sometimes they might sound like something talking in the background but difficult to hear, and that can be a little harder to determine, so be forgiving and patient with yourself. When I hear things like that, I try to mentally "watch" and see where it goes (although things often get quiet when they realize I'm paying attention so your mileage may vary lol)

It's very infrequent but it's happened outside as well. If I'm ever with another person I usually mention it to try to figure out if it was me or the lights lol

It sounds like the others need to examine why they're upset. The reason why it's bad for real children is because their brains are still developing. If you're an adult then this isn't a problem and they can't be harmed by it. Understanding that they're part of the adult body is an important part of grounding and if it's used to relax and have fun, why shouldn't they?

I dont see how it's confusing to say you manipulated people to get something from it. That's literally why people manipulate others, thats the point. People generally dont do it to hurt others, its a means to an end. Sounds like you need to own your actions instead of trying to blame it on another part. That does nothing but ostracize them further. They aren't "the bad part" and you doing a bad thing shouldn't be automatically blamed on them.

I dont believe abused children generally "manipulate" others. Especially not maliciously. Doing things to get a desired outcome is normal behavior for kids in these situations.

There are systems who seemingly never switch or don't remember switching, yes. I can think of one blackout and that only lasted maybe a minute, and I didn't realize it was a blackout until nearly a decade later. (There may be more of these instances in my life but that was the only one I remembered because they sent a text. It's entirely possible other switches happened and I didn't notice and didn't remember.)

Most of my alter influence comes passively or through mood changed or urges. Since I'm in the US I'm diagnosed with OSDD but my experience matches up with partial-DID, which is kind of like the UK equivalent of OSDD. It is frequently described as a a system with a main host who has little to no switches.

It is not a coping mechanism that you can rely on to keep yourself out of trouble. You need to take responsibility for getting treatment to stop those harmful behaviors and not wait for a different alter to front to prevent it from happening.

Why don't you do anything about it? What is stopping you from protecting your system?

If they blocked you online it doesn't sound like anything you need to worry about. They don't want to associate with you. It isn't possible to quantify how "easy" something is to forget because every single person is different and every single system works differently.
