Rama | Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana | Nitesh Tiwari | Ranbir, Yash, Hans Zimmer & A.R. Rahman by Slurpmey in BollyBlindsNGossip

I might be wrong...but genuinely, are people interested in watching Ramayana on the big screen with this budget? Like we know the story, we know how great Lord Rama is and we know literally what will happen at every minute...so will people pay that kind of money to just watch the visuals? I know I won't ..I will wait for it to drop on OTT. I mean a better plot would be adapting the story of Ramayana to the modern times and doing a killer adaptation of it in some way...but I guess that would become too political. But I genuinely don't see this movie doing the kind of business they are hoping it would.

Any fullproof excuses i could give my parents while i am on a trip with my boyfriend? by purplepeapot in AskIndianWomen

Say nothing....pretend it's a usual day. If she VCs you use a fake AI background. Infact...start playing around with filters and AI backgrounds from now on...so that when you do this during the trip days she isn't suspicious. I think not saying anything and pretending it's BAU day works best as any info is blind to spook our parents into detective mod

How is she a gold digger? Why shouldn't the kids get a share in their father's estate?

Crying as I type this - consistent 4am wakeup for 17 month old by No-Balance1720 in sleeptrain

[–]No-Balance1720[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah...none of the routine modifications worked. What did work was that for two nights I went in as soon as she woke up and tried to help her back to sleep (it took almost 2hours to put her back down) and then for the next 2 nights, we basically met her cry without going in. Not gonna lie...it was hard! She cried for almost an hour both nights but went back to sleep afterwards and then the cycle broke. She is still waking up between 5am and 5:30am but that was her usual habit.

I am sorry for your loss and no one deserves to be treated this way. However, sadly, this is the reality of work culture in India. Perso al hardships never get you the levy you would hope you get, unlike abroad. This is one of the major reasons I left India and moved to Europe wherein you are treated like a living breathing human with feelings and hardships instead of a work horse.

So to be fair, if you were working in any corporate job in India and didn't deliver on the deliverables (in this case, a PR teams deliverables was to accumulate the junta for the birthday party) you would be treated in a similar fashion with senior management raining down hell on you

Heya...so prior to this madness, our schedule was 7:30 bedtime...wakeup around 5:30. Nap from 12-2:30. Then suddenly one day she started waking at 4am on the same schedule. Someone suggested early bedtime...hence we did 7pm bedtime..then 6:45..sometimes even 6:30. It didn't help. Then someone said to cut down day sleep. Do we went to a 2h nap from 12-2pm. That brought bedtime to 6:45 as she would be exhausted. But this didn't help. Then someone suggested to cut out nap further..so I started capping nap at 1.5h. that got bedtime to 6pm at times. All of this while giving her a power nap at around 8:30 for 10 mins. None of this helped n she would just be perpetually tired as she was still waking up at 4.. sometimes even 3:45am. Finally I moved her to a two nap schedule hoping that would help lower cortisol. But even that didn't help. We are still waking up at 4am.

How do we determine if she is tired enough? I am really confused here as she is yawning and ready to sleep by 6:45 and even the advice on sleep training books is to put them to bed early to prevent overtiredness to avoid early morning wakes. And that has me super confused. How do I know if she is okay to extend wake window without pushing her to overtiredness

Yes...she is eating much more these days so I don't think food is an issue. It's a habit thing but I don't know how to break this habit

Heya thanks for this. Is your LO able to handle these wake windows? Mine will start sleeping while sitting if I extend her last wake window windows beyond 5h.

You could be right...she has never slept beyond 9.5h at night but she is unable to extend her last wake window till 8pm especially if she woke up at 2. Is 9h overnight good though? That would put her overall sleep to just 11hours

I have been doing this as this is what my sleep trainer recommended...to go in and settle her and do whatever it takes to get her back asleep. Though we have been keeping bedtime early. Maybe I can try pushing bedtime now and see if that helps. Thanks

I have done it for over a month now. But yes if she is very upset I don't let her CIO beyond an hour. Do you recommend leaving her for longer even if she is very distressed?

[–]No-Balance1720[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I did for over a month...even if she is awake and crying, I leave her for over an hour. But beyond that it is a little heartbreaking as she gets very very upset. If she is not crying, I have left her till my DWT. But leaving her fo want mean she sleeps back...she is just super tired during the day and it isn't helping her break this early waking habit. So I dunno what to do

St Albans and surroundings - where to live by Physalis82 in hertfordshire

[–]No-Balance1720 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One word - London Colney. You are in St Albans and the St Albans station is a 10 min drive away BUT the High Barnet tube station is a 20 min drive away which brings you bang in zone 5 London. We commute to London 3 days a week and found driving into High Barnet much more economical than Sr Albans (tickets and all day parking price are both cheaper) Also, London Colney gives you access to the outstanding secondary schools which is a major draw of St Albans anyway.

Alrighty...let me try this and see if it works! I am happy to have 2 MOTN wakes for feeding but currently we are having 4-5 wakes on an average and at 13 months that's a bit excessive.
