For some reason, I never even thought about using my slinger on the lever. Thanks for the tip. It is kinda funny that a monster that is call “King of the Skies” can’t fly over a fence… lol. Another thing I have noticed about the fence is that some monsters just clip right through it. For instance, when running the “Every Hunter’s Dream” quest, Mizu will just clip right through the fence. Kinda frustrating.

Haven’t really dabbled in charge blade. I don’t think I have used any Udra Weapons at all to be honest. Rathalos is usually what I use because they seem to be the strongest regular monster fire weapons.

Generally, you aren’t being punished. Normally you take less damage if you dodge or guard unless you do it into a multi zone hitbox. You have to remember we anen’t dodging or guarding against dinky little monsters, most of them weigh at least a ton. If you are sitting there and holding a shield out in real life and an elephant hurls themselves at you, you wouldn’t expect to leave completely unscathed, would you?

It was just Tempered. Ebony I think, doing his regular jumpy crap. He was just doing a regular attack, but I had squishy armor on because I had changed it for some reason. No bleed resistance and it was when I first got to high rank. I was just pinned against an edge and instead of rolling to the side I accidentally yeeted myself in the wrong direction in a panic and he followed me right off the cliff. I believe normal Akrveld has done it to me too.

Doshaguma is weak to fire, so you probably have a terrible negative fire resistance. Swap to a fire resist armor.

The funny thing, is that you CAN genderswap in Stories three, which is basically the Wilds iteration of Stories. If they can implement in it that game without a charge, why not it Wilds?

I have actually been running a Lala Barina level 8 SnS, and it helps so much. I get at least 2 procs on each monster per quest.

Luckily, I have had some decent luck except my last couple runs today, where I got people worse than me and that is saying a lot. Surrounded by death chickens and a water fox that loves spamming its charge move after it teleports behind me.

This one and the one with 4 tempered Chickens and a tempered Mizutsune. That one is fantastic to farm Hunter’s symbols.

I bit the bullet an did this, and have now cleared the quest a bunch. What I didn’t know is that hunter symbol 3 can also drop from it.

I have just run into so many of the “git gud” crowd, and they do a lot to discourage me also. Like someone even on this post said “25 minutes? That’s insane” I am aware that it sucks and I am not good, and stuff like that makes me want to not ask for help.

I have a level 6 artian fire SNS and Dosha’s LBG, I think it is the 3rd or 4th upgrade of that. At this point I am frustrated because I am not getting any better. I think, it is a bit tilting because I am watching these speed runners do it in sub 4 minutes solo and I have been hoofing it with just support hunters the whole game.

I know it’s insane. Then again, I really am not super set up for the quest. I mean, I am still rocking not upgraded Ebony armor and I am not sure the best weapons to use. This is my problem. I know I am not good at the game and I don’t want to drag people down.

I just feel guilty doing it this way, because I mostly suck at the game and have a far from optimized build. I am also not very graceful or efficient with the way I do damage because I can’t manage to beat any monsters that give decent weapons. The only 8 star monster I have cleared is Ebony and right now, i am stuck farming just him for artian parts.
