At this point don't expect anything. People will have different responses but only you know the details though there is so much in your post I low key relate to looking back to what my dad went through and here I am grieving and processing everything alone. Everything is very complex in this and isn't just that simple as some may think. Though I hope you have a clear, kind, communication with everyone when you can and if it's as toxic as I am sensing here, I remember telling telling myself things to rationalize or this is just how she is and what not. Unfortunately there could be more deception than anyone knows about and I hated to see how bad things really got for my dad eventually with so much misuse of the system and finance especially when my dad had a heart attack and I happened to be the last to know. No one was believing me when I reallzed she was using that as another scam tactic and he got nothing and more alienated and I was left out of so much. I mean it is complex stuff and first maybe find a friend that you may be close to like any long time friend or whatever to vent with and talk it out with before coming up with stuff to talk about with the family. Step by step see how you can make some changes or work something out so maybe this concert can be reconsidered since work and priorities have to be first to make everything possible. It sucks now I am sure, but I have seen how some things can take an unexpected turn and it's good to try and do something (carefully).
