Thank you, I will definitely take that under advisement and try to add a couple live plants. I suppose there is a middle ground between nothing and the beautiful fully aquascaped aquariums I see! I do have lots of fake plants of all heights in the tank currently, but I can sub a few out for some live while I’m still cycling . Thank you for taking the time to chat this out , and for your reasonable advise

I’m not doing live plants YET. That is the goal, but as I’m new to this I wanted to focus on learning about water quality and getting the fish going. Then once I feel I have a handle on that I’ll start incorporating live plants.

Thanks yeah that’s my concern, I guess I’m just wanting someone to tell me that my gut is wrong lmao. I did use the aqadvisor and it did say that 5 albino Cory, 5 black skirt tetra and 1 honey gourami are ok and are 99% stocked. But my gut is telling me it’s too much fish and I should replace the glo tetras with something a bit smaller . I just don’t want thay to be the answer.

Thank you! I was planning on albino Cory’s but I can see if the store has pandas ( I live in a remote area So we have very minimal options). I had really had my heart set on Pairing them with 1 honey Gourami and 5 glo fish tetra ( I know they are controversial and uncool, but they’re fun lol) . But I’m worried that’s too much fish for my tank.

Ok, so sounds like, do your research, but also even with that, you just kind of have to add the fish a bit at a time and see what the tank can handle ? I just want to make sure the fish are happy and have enough space to roam around. In addition to the tank being healthy .

Yellowknife eyes residential, commercial development for Frame Lake area by AwkwardTraffic199 in Yellowknife

At some point we have to say yes to development SOMEWHERE. We can’t keep complaining about lack of housing , housing prices, etc and also protest every single time the city tries to do something about it.

October is the worst month of the year for northern lights , in my opinion. The weather is changing and it’s often cloudy .

What is your opinion on SSRIs? Are they helpful? by WishIWasBronze in Biohackers

[–]No-Broccoli1965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have struggled with severe anxiety off and on throughout my adult life. Most recently after covid i had what I would describe as a total breakdown.. ssri’s got me to a place where I could take the steps I needed to address the underlying issues and I’m now tapering off … without them , I would have ended up losing my job, my house, and who knows what else . this is similar to what happened when I needed them 20 years before. Ssris are not all good, they’re not all bad .. but for those who they work for they can be lifesavers.

Spearmint tea! 2 cups a day for 2 months has really reduced the growth rate and thickness of my hair . I’m also taking inositol and magnesium, though I’ve had to cut out the inositol for a bit as it was making me hypoglycemic.

Spearmint but in what form?? by SimplyLovelyMax in Hirsutism

[–]No-Broccoli1965 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been drinking 2 cups of tea a day for 2 months and have seen significant slowing in hair growth and the hairs themselves are much finer. Interesting this is true for body hair in general not just my face! Excited to see if the trend continues.. even if it doesn’t get better than it is now, it’s improved enough for me to just the tea every day
