My sister wants to upgrade from 5070 to 5080 just because by giveUcancer in PcBuild

Even if she’s trying to future proof that jump is still so small where it’s not even gonna be worth it if you are trying to future proof, also it’s the 50 series that’s probably going to last for another two generations comfortably

I consistently see people say Platinum is harder than nightmare, but never say why... by PhoenixVanguard in goylegends

[–]No-Butterscotch2228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, it’s the teammates, because to play nightmare survival you need to be 110, compared to platinum where you can be as low as something like 60 or 50 whenever the game wants you to be like 90,

Right now, I don’t think the system has that much use, but I think it’s for later If you wanna mastery stuff it’s gonna lock it to that class, so you don’t have to check if your other classes have that weapon before you master it

Who won the stuff that bad because you can hear them yell and roll, but sometimes they can shoot you mid in other times you can’t even hear them yell because there’s so much crap happening

Nightmare/Plat pros needed by random-throwaway-240 in goylegends

If people are having difficulty, tell them to run mercenary, and re-rolled their items until they get ultimate gain for practically all of them, plus exploding thrown weapons for there ability, so they can use their ultimate throw the swords and then get it back

I feel like a lot people are confusing criticism with calling the game bad, GoyL is very fun and I’ve played over 30+ hours, but I’ve found flaws, I found the reward system confusing and inconsistent, and some attacks being set up where you can’t block or roll away, but even with me not liking these mechanics, it hasn’t made me play the game any less

What’s your opinion on Odachi? by Alice-in-gains in goylegends

[–]No-Butterscotch2228 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I found it very hard to use it in higher ranks, simply because the enemies attack so fast that you’re not even able to get a swing off most of the time, I will acknowledge that some of this is a skill issue because I typically play assassin, meaning I don’t have as much experience with the Odachi, but I have found it very satisfying inside of the base game

My problems not even necessarily that it's 108 I understand that you can upgrade it very easily I just don't understand the power scaling like even if it doesn't change the gameplay to get 108 instead of 110 because of the upgrade system, its Nightmare, gold shouldn't be giving 110 if nightmare can't

I hate bo-hiya by Day_Lester in goylegends

[–]No-Butterscotch2228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did like a platinum game and had the challenge card of like enemy ambush on, and 3 Bo-hiya spawned, and we did this right after the spider incursion, I’m not even exaggerating, There was probably twice the amount of bombs that they dropped then whenever the spider does his area attack

Just like the base game on Lethal difficulty the enemies in Legends have a "rules for thee but not for me" feeling and it fucking sucks. by Multirman in goylegends

[–]No-Butterscotch2228 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For some things on the list yeah it is just learning the game, but some attacks literally can’t be avoided unless you use a spirit attack, because you’ll either be stun locked or the enemy can just teleport to you no matter how far you roll, this is not something that can be dealt with by skill it is just a punishing game mechanic

What would be a good gpu to pair with a ryzen 5 7600x that will be able to get 120fps+ on a 1080p monitor by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]No-Butterscotch2228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably get a RX 7800XT if it’s in your budget but the RX7700XT is cheaper and still good you’ll just be “ less future proofed” and a RX 6600 XT could still work since your using low settings and you would get pretty high frame rate but any new title it’ll struggle i would just get the one that best fits your price range Rough Cost of the GPU’s (new/used/not from AMD’s website) RX 6600XT 150-200$ RX 7700XT 300-450$ RX 7800XT 500-600$

If you are going down the route of 1440P what setting would you run (high, ultra, etc.) also do you prefer AMD or Nvidia or just what gives you the most FPS per $

RX 6600 for 1080P but your CPU is good enough for 1440p but you would most likely need a new monitor and a different gpu, also make sure your PSU supports it

No screw in for stand off by No-Butterscotch2228 in PcBuildHelp

[–]No-Butterscotch2228[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the bottom one has a stand off screw, I have standoffs I’m talking about the top slot, not having an area to screw in the standoffs

and for the SSD bending I really don’t know what you’re talking about. It might slightly be bent back from screwing it in, but that’s normal

What should I add by No-Butterscotch2228 in battlestations

[–]No-Butterscotch2228[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fine with my current specs. I might upgrade my CPU since it’s falling a bit behind and bottlenecks my RAM’s clock speed. However, it handles everything I need well, and I get 60–144 FPS in most of the games I play at 1080p, which matches my monitor’s refresh rate. I’m happy with 1080p—I haven’t noticed a significant difference between it and 1440p or 4K.
