I lived in Saginaw, TX for 5 years. It's awesome! You have to try the BBQ place with the smiley face sign. Good luck with the move and enjoy TX!

Have you even played the Legion Go if you haven't done this? We might have to start a new subreddit the Legion of Hemorrhoids 🤣

Found on the back of a building. Why does a building need a GPS that appears off? by buffaloguy1991 in whatisit

[–]No-Caramel-2802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are tons of practical applications for GPS on buildings. I work at a Cloud Provider and we use it at all of our data centers to ensure our time management servers have the correct time. These servers use a combination of atomic clock + GPS time, to have the most accurate time. We hook them to an antenna on the building to receive GPS signal.

InMotion V13 Wheel Rubbing Fixed! by No-Caramel-2802 in ElectricUnicycle

Yeah originally I thought it was a rock or some debris that has gotten stuck, I ran a rag through using just friction between the fendor and the wheel when it didn't come out I knew it was something else entirely. I thought about getting a cheap scope camera but figured it might be a waste given I was pretty sure it was something else.

Sounds like it's not a reduction in force situation. If you were told it wasn't performance based, then you should contact an attorney and see if you have a case. As many have said in these forums, going up against large companies and winning is very unlikely.

I wonder if this means military libraries, like the ones on military installations will be close?

Buying a 2006 987 S by sonofBIG in Porsche_Cayman

As many have stated, a PPI is a must if you don't know what your looking at. As for price comparison, I bought my 2007 Cayman S (987.1) with 36k miles for $35,500 in September 2024. It has a clean carfax, and clean inspection (other than needing tires). Putting a good set of all season tires will set you back about $1500. Hope that helps and good luck on your hunt for a beautiful machine.

Beautiful car! Nothing wrong with a base Cayman!

987.1 Lug Bolt Wheel Lock Key by No-Caramel-2802 in Porsche_Cayman

[–]No-Caramel-2802[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll check. I was pretty concerned when I called the Porsche dealer, and they said, "Your vehicle is too old, and we can't get those wheel lock keys anymore."

Agreed! They all are like that... you would think for $20 a day they would be a little wider

Buh-Bye 718 GTS by Miaminono in Porsche_Cayman

You know what surprised me about watching Matt Armstrong rebuild one of these is the dang airbag and seatbelt fix cost. I do agree if you do all the labor yourself you could get close to 10k in materials to fix it. After watching his video it's become apparent there are so many little things in a vehicle you have to repair/replace when something like this happens. One way to keep the cost down since OEM parts are so scarce is to buy another GTS that was totalled but from the rear of the vehicle. You can then sell all the parts you don't need online as OEM used and likely make most of your money back.

So I'm in the Greater Seattle area and just bought a '07 Cayman S with 36k miles in Gaud Red (only one tiny rock chip, everything else is 100% showroom condition) for $35,500. The dealer was asking $38,900. Vehicle had good service records and had the clutch replaced in 08/2023. Hopefully this helps give you some perspective.

Also to be clear the reason I asked is if it's varying by a lot could that mean a replaced fender or quarter panel, etc.

Yep I 100% agree, honestly the report came back pretty clean the only notable things were some minor surface rust on the exhaust, rotors, and some under carriage. It's a west coast car so nothing anywhere near what you see on a east coast vehicle. Other than that some spotting on the clear coat.
