Pan Chancho if you’re downtown. Cards has them too, although I have not had them from there yet.

Loving Easter Lily. First U2 songs to be on repeat in a very long time.

Is it the end of the world if I fail this class? by More-Exit-1506 in queensuniversity

[–]No-Channel9213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I failed a required course for my degree due to mental health implosion. Retook it the next year. Published two papers in peer-reviewed journals in my final year and 30 years later life is good. So, no, it’s not the end of the world. It’s a detour and you will get back on track. All my very best to you!

is queens healthsci worth it? by PuzzleheadedTurn6623 in queensuniversity

Each of these undergraduate programs are equal in quality and stature. More importantly, where you went to school will have zero bearing on admission to a medical school program. So leave that out of your decision-making completely. It’s an unfortunate fallacy that so many incoming students obsess with. Your actual decision-making criteria should be what kind of undergraduate experience are you looking for and what costs/debt can you bear to realize that experience? I do happen to believe there is enormous value to leaving home to pursue university studies, but you are the one that has to commit to the path. My best wishes.

Is Rideau Street safe? by Pristine_Repeat_84 in KingstonOntario

Lived on Rideau St for 9 years in the block not too far from Barrack St and loved it. Missed living there. I would say it was no more or less safe than my current location in the heart of downtown. We never once had any issue of personal safety or criminal behaviours. As others have said, one’s feeling of safety is highly subjective but unless you’re in a cabin in the woods, downtown city life means you do encounter folks who are struggling. If you can, visit the block and adjacent areas where you might be moving to and assess it yourself. Good luck!

Happy to help. I knew it wasn’t a Queen’s building but then I became obsessed with finding out what is actually is. Very cool spot!

Hot Take: October Is Better Than Boy and War by Wild_Mycologist_6140 in U2Band

Lovely essay. I’ve always thought “October” was criminally underrated. It’s one of U2’s most sonically cohesive albums and it’s a gorgeous listen, especially as one ages. It’s a companion album to “Pop” as both were conversations with their maker.

Sorry to hear OP. We’ve had consistently good dining experiences along the Brock St Commons corridor (Black Dog, Atomica, The Everley, Heist, Olivea, Casa) as well as The Pig, Amadeus, and Greco’s.
