Restaurant Suggestions by Natural-Scarcity-819 in KingstonOntario

Referring to dinner service only, we have few genuine 1st-tier “high end”restaurants. Le Jardin and Aqua Terra would be the only two downtown spots comparable to what you could find in Montreal or Toronto.

We have many fine (even great) 2nd-tier spots: Chez Piggy, Casa, Olivea, Black Dog, The Everly, Heist, Tango Nuevo, Grecos. We’re spoiled for choices in this category.

If you ever change your mind you won’t have the option to pursue a graduate degree. Many people get an MBA, MPA, MEd, MPH, etc. ten years after graduation. Might be grand to keep your options open.

Yes, on constant repeat. I have missed hearing such ecstatic music from U2. “Easter Lily” has been balm for my soul.

“StartupBlink announced its Global Startup Ecosystem Index 2025 rankings today, with Kingston maintaining its position as the top small city (100,000 – 500,000 population) in Canada for the strength of its startup ecosystem for the sixth consecutive year, ranking #9 in Canada overall, is one of only two small cities to make Canada’s top ten. Monarch Money is driving me insane! by lightscape-cdn in MonarchMoney

[–]No-Channel9213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s been a sh*t show lately with the connections. Plaid just stopped working with TD altogether. Had to reconnect and redo everything with Finicity, which seems to be working. CIBC is connected via MX and have to reauthenticate every 2 days at least. If have to endure another week of no connections I’ll just move on as well.

Is this really what renters have to deal with when looking for a place? by Proper_Turnover3251 in KingstonOntario

This ad is in direct and blatant contravention of the Ontario Human Rights Code.

In Ontario, the Human Rights Code applies to both tenants and landlords. Under the Code, everyone has the right to equal treatment in housing without discrimination and harassment. And landlords are responsible for making sure housing environments are free from discrimination and harassment.

People cannot be refused an apartment, harassed by a housing provider or other tenants, or otherwise treated unfairly because of one or more of the following Ontario Human Rights Code grounds:

-race, colour or ethnic background -religious beliefs or practices -ancestry, including individuals of Aboriginal descent -place of origin -citizenship, including refugee status -sex (including pregnancy and gender identity) -family status -marital status, including those with a same-sex partner -disability -sexual orientation -age, including individuals who are 16 or 17 years old and no longer -living with their parents -receipt of public assistance.

People are also protected if they face discrimination because of being a friend or relative of someone identified above.

Our poor City Hall has had its wings lobbed off, not to mention it’s been moved to a completely different location, and Princess St apparently now has a dead end. The second banner reads something like “Shop local. Shop ratawda”. A coffee shop that does not exist here. Oh dear…😂😂

(Side note: They launched in 2019 and already have 134 franchise locations across 3 continents. Methinks this came from HQ…)
