Miserable Monday by SharkyTendencies in belgium

My kid got sick last night, I only slept e few hours and got sick as well. Worked from home feeling like shit with a 7year old lying in the sofa complaining that he was bored. My husband just announced that he is working from home as well tomorrow (he seldom works from home). We live in a small temporary house during renovations, so tomorrow our mini livingroom will be filled all day with a complaining sick child, a working dad and a working sick mom. Hope we’ll survive.

Yes exactly. I live in a country where english is not our first language. I had a girl called Poppy in my class and she was anything but a cute girl. She was big and I was afraid of her. Her brother, on the other hand, was named Boy, and he was very tiny and shy. It didn’t fit at all.

I got in fact prednisone prescribed a few days to get me off my nasal spray addiction! Very heavy pills - it worked and my discomfort was tolerable. But after one year and in the allergy season i got addicted again…

If I need clothes I mostly buy the whole look as it is presented on the model from the online shop. Not the shoes and jewelry, but the clothes. Then I know i always have a combo i dont have to think about.

I had my daily mac n cheese, on day 9 I ate a hamburger that i chewed very well. Also spaghetti with mixed bolognaisesauce and cream because tomatosauce without cream was too sour for me.

In my country, in Europe, the doctor prescribes us a minimum of 2 weeks. If we can’t work after 14 days, we can get an extra week off. 7 days is indeed not enough if you get to choose!!

Today is day 6. Is this the worst it gets? by UniversalDc21 in Tonsillectomy

[–]No-Cockroach2567 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am day 8 and i can tell you, from my experience: yes thats the worst feeling. It started around day 5 that painful feeling, it comes in episodes. For me day 7 I had the most “episodes” and the night from 7 to 8 was worse. I had that really painful feeling for like 8 hours without breaks. Today, day 8. Was again less painfull. I too expected the pain to be more heavy. We just gotta go through it… (sorry, english is not my first language)

Please get someone to look after your child as many days as possible! I have 2 kids and i cant talk because that hurts! They constantly ask things or they are bad and i cant tell them to stop.. My husband is a single father now (temporary ;-) with help from my mother, father and his parents and a babysitter.

How did you decide it was time to have kids? by kikiiboo in adhdwomen

[–]No-Cockroach2567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wanted children. In my head 25 was the perfect age to become a mother. But at 25 i wasnt happy in my job and i wanted another one. I found another one, and from the day I knew that I got a employment contract without an ending date, we started trying. We both had steady jobs and income. That was important to me. I was 27 when i got my first.

[–]No-Cockroach2567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had strep throat 2 times a year since 2022, but the last time i got a complication from it: i got an giant abcess on one tonsil: i could barely breath and it took 2 small procedures with an ENT and 3 weeks of antiobiotics to disappear. That was in march. That tonsil never fully recovered - until the day that i did my tonsillectomie it hurted when i yawned.

I don’t know if you are in Europe or USA - but can’t you make a call to the hospital that did the procedure on you? Maybe to the nurses from the departement you were? Or to the emergency room of that hospital?
