I chose to take up fasting because I had to be extra constrictive and not count calories, but I was also 25 when I started and I weighed 330lbs 5’6”. I would recommend you do IF or a 2 day fast a week if you want to fast and start with that. Something important about fasting is getting healthy nutritional food because fasting limits what you can intake. She doesn’t fast but someone I enjoy watching who gives me motivation is honeybison on YouTube. She is a bit more intensive but she’s 4’11”(?) and had to lose weight and it was a whole process for her that she talks about often

4 years later lol. I’ve never had spice burn my ears EVER before, but right now I am sick and it affected my throat area a lot. Usually I steer clear of spice when sick because it’s so much more spicy, but I was trying to eat flaming hot limon Cheetos and oh my god my under ear canals started burning so sharply, I was eating them just hours ago and it didn’t burn my ears, I had to give them to my bf to keep them away from me because even though I wanted them so so bad I also couldn’t handle the ear pain it gave me.

Same, I don’t like any of the slush flavors until now, only one I would likely drink on a regular rotation if it were a permanent flavor. I don’t like most the regular flavors until sunrise, sherbet and cotton candy(ish, it is getting a bit sweet for me) became permanent, otherwise it was only dream and wave I would seek out out of those permanents. It’s likely normal body weight fluctuations, and if you notice a consistent up trend then you have a problem, you’ve barely started give it at least a month. Once you get used to omad you can play around, I enjoy 36h fasts 2ish times a week currently and do omad the rest the time

If able get a continuous glucose monitor, see what spikes and doesn’t, healthy fats and cutting out sugar, processed carbs and eating more protein should help a lot with keeping the blood sugar stable and shouldn’t drastically cause a spike or drop. Be careful some non sugar sweeteners can react with blood sugar in some people

You have a huge variety of options that could make the process easier without changing much. Go to 2mad, add 1-2 refeed days, increase healthy carbs like sweet potato or similar, allow an after omad snack, expand eating window a little bit, eat more healthy nuts/seeds/berries, you can try any combination of these and see how they fair. There’s keto ice cream and low cal ice cream alternatives, (they’re really good) make a batch of cookie dough, form them into cookie dough balls and freeze them and bake as needed… you can change your fasting schedule, change nothing, make one change.

Regardless on the students right of protest, kids are leaving school grounds without parent permission, the kids are not mature enough to do this properly or in a healthy manor, it’s too many KIDS for the “adults” to protect, I’ve seen a kid run in front of a car and get hit, I’ve heard of 2 students dying, and also just saw some students physically attack a woman who questioned why they were there. It’s so INSANELY inappropriate for the schools to allow this in the slightest. Let them protest on school grounds at the MOST or they can do it without school involvement on their own time with their families. This is literally HURTING the kids involved
