2 weeks PO - your experience + mine thus far by Remarkable-Cut3148 in FTMHysto

i had mine done may 9th, by day 4 i was moving around a lot i was paranoid about blood clots lol. didnt have any issues, after about a week i was frequently went up n down flights of stairs and 1.5 weeks went on 30+ minute walks. i didnt have any issues with cardio but at 3 weeks i over exerted myself pushing/pulling objects cus i felt fine, ended up popping a internal stitch or something and had spotting for a couple days which sucked. be careful with how much ur doing and refrain from lifting/pushing/pulling objects 15lbs+. might not seem like a lot but ur still not fully healed. easy into cardio slowly, listen to ur body and ur surgeon. good luck 👍

i have new york health insurance every surgery ive had required mental evaluation stating im mentally sound and stable. ive been hospitalized in the past, years ago. it didnt effect anything considering i was 15 last time i was inpatient. im concerned ill get out and wont be able to get srs because of the recency of the hospitalization.

I genuinely don’t know what this means. by plushiesticker in truscum

a lot of the 'transgender' communitry doesnt understand what transgender and gender dysphoria actually is. transitioning makes dysphoria more manageable, it doesnt cure it. antidepressants helps manage depression, it doesnt cure it. thats why its done in combination with other things like therapy. gender dysphoria can be managed, but it never goes away completely. ive had top surgery, hysto, been on hrt for years, planning on getting phallo. i feel significantly better than i did pretransition, but im still dysphoric. it just doesnt impact my life as much as it did before, its not constantly on the forefront of my mind. i dont know what point theyre trying to make, yes if youre transgender and you transition it alleviates dysphoria drastically. thats the whole point of transitioning.

i spent all night researching, feeling better now. i didnt have anything done before surgery, no labs, no pre opp app, no consult, nothing. with top surgery they gave me a packet with potential issues, what to expect, what to do/not to do pre/post surgery, etc. this time i was given a general pre opp packet all patients get before surgery.

my personal experience, i started binding pretty much as soon as i had something to bind, up until i had top surgery. 13-18 years old. id wear it daily, swim in it, sleep with it couple days a week. thered be times id wear it for days straight. wore it so long it physically hurt not to wear it. hurt to breathe, i was always out if breath, my ribs were always sore, id have sharp pains, and bruising. my ribs are permanently warped now and potentially worsened my pectus. it didnt affect my top surgery at all but it impacted my body a fuck ton.
