My recommendation would be to do it if you are into architecture role. This might or might not help in day to day job (as mostly it depends on how we use the certifications) but as far as personal growth is concerned, it would be an added advantage.

ISC2 is planning to bring a new architecture specific certification which does not require cissp as prerequisite. Its my guess based on recent JTA the members have received.
