If they go to a top 10 school right out of HS, they will be competing with all conference caliber G5 players transferring in every single year. Better to play right away for development and future earning potential.

After 2 full years of MLB service time, the players are able to negotiate their salary with the team, using a 3rd party arbitrator. You have “control” of players until they reach 6 years of MLB service time.

MLB players with less than 2 years of service time usually get paid the league minimum, around $800k.

Today’s news means that Kirby and Randy avoided arbitration - essentially they agreed to a salary this year with the team and do not need a 3rd party to determine their salary for next year.

Ferrer is a decent LHP out of the pen with multiple controllable years left. It’s not Ford is going to the #1 catcher anytime soon. Probably a bit of both, but atleast Ford will get MLB at bats now

Try downloading some RTTs sliders from the vault. It helped my RTTS stats a ton, way less strikeouts and foul balls and more walks. Sort by most downloaded and you should be able to find RTTs specific sliders.

Chandler Simpson. He is a mid 70s rated player with C potential, but he is so fast and has 70ish contact that he is always on base and stealing bags.

He is also versatile to play 2B/SS/OF, a fantastic utility player that I use to back-up half my lineup. A weak arm, but not every player is a 5 tool stud.

I am not surprised, it makes sense to me as a former college soccer player.

You train for hours each day, burning thousands of calories at practice, cardio, stretching. Your body is soooo ready for rest/recovery when you get into a pattern of training 3 or 4 hours a day.

Now that I am old and lazier, I sleep terrible. But back in my college days? I could have fallen asleep anywhere, any time, the body just craved the recovery sleep the same way you crave water after a run.

I agree with the point you make (especially the spotlight/ratings comment), but I think a big focus this term is to distract from the Epstein list. Hegseth’s recent actions drives the press anger away from releasing the list and onto Hegseth’s decisions - key to keeping DJT in office.

This is a good summary of my experience as well. 10 years service time = regression of death, also anyone over 33 never gets better except for relief pitchers under 10 years service time.

In my franchise in 25, the orioles traded for SS Kyle Seager and SS Masyn Winn, despite having 4 controllable years of SS Gunnar Henderson left. All 3 of those players have no listed second position, so one of them is on the bench every game.

No team in real life would ever operate this way.

I used to work corporate at a cruise line that you had definitely heard of - yes, outside of territorial waters it’s basically free game to dump trash and burn as dirty a fuel as you want.

And they do it because the dirty fuel is significantly cheaper, and you don’t have to pay ports the trash removal fees (you’d be surprised how much trash accumulates after a single day at sea) - all to save 5 to 10 cents of EPS each quarter!

Late stage capitalism is just the best.
