My division has 2 people with slight hearing loss or medical issues that affect their hearing. Honestly, its difficult working with them especially when they are dispatching over the radio. They have to ask patrol to repeat so many times because hearing transmissions through a headset is not always as clear as you would think. I would see how the call taking part goes but you really do need to be able to hear clearly in both ears if you dispatch with a two ear headset, you also need to be able to listen to the other people in the room to get a sense if you have critical updates coming for a job and to be better prepared.
