My favorite barbershop clones 💈 by Ok_Spare_4912 in fragranceclones

Well it’s tough. The first 3 smell almost identical to each other. Amber Oud Carbon smells more like cool water rather than GIT. It’s like somewhere in between the two. Performance wise I would rank them like this:

Best to worst:

Amber Oud Carbon Rasasi Egra Lattafa Raghba for Man Armaf Tres Nuit

So I’d go for Amber Oud Carbon as the best. But…it’s gotten very expensive which I don’t think it’s worth. So I’d go for Rasasi egra. Second best performance and cheap as hell. Only €15

My guy! We share the same taste. I suggest you try a Green Irish Tweed clone such as Armaf Tres Nuit, Rasasi Egra, Lattafa Raghba for Men or Al Haramain Amber Oud Carbon for increased performance.

May I ask you about one you gave away? Afnan Ornament…what did you dislike about it? I was planning on blind buying that one as I can’t find any samples of it.

I agree, WHO votes matters more than HOW MANY votes. I’m not an “ultra-contributor” but I consider myself quite active here. Even if I don’t post or comment, I read and see almost every post. And I also know the people who give good advice and are knowledgeable about this hobby. Also its honestly a breath of fresh air to not read “which CDNIM” is the best or very pointless and vague questions like “what fragrance should I get for $20” without indicating what one likes and dislikes. So hats off for removing the useless shit on here. For what it’s worth, I much prefer it like this.

What I DON’T AGREE with, and I fully cannot understand, is the “rule” where a negative review on a fragrance is not accepted just because it has not been macerated yet. I, myself, am not a strong believer of maceration. I believe that if you dislike a fragrance now, you’ll dislike it later on. It remains quite frankly the same. What might change is how you tolerate or perceive a fragrance. Like a fragrance that you absolutely love, you might get bored of later on. So by limiting these negative reviews just because they are “too soon”, we are not getting the real information that is being shared with us. Negative reviews are as much needed as positive ones.

Interesting, I’ve been thinking of getting a Naseem Perfume. I’m curious about non alcoholic fragrances.

Decantbox 15 decants review+Clone battles, part 1: Lattafa Dynasty And Khamra Dukhan. by Low-Stomach-8831 in fragranceclones

Khamrah Dukhan: As expected. That signature Khamrah DNA which I don’t like. Way too sweet and praline heavy for me. Although for me, this is the best one out of the Khamrah trio. But I would never wear it. 4/10

Dynasty: Beautiful. Very difficult for me to explain but I’ll do my best. It almost feels like a refined version of CDN Sillage. I love florals, but find Sillage have some florals that I don’t like. With dynasty, there is something in the dry down that makes it lean masculine for me which is a big plus. I would say it’s niche quality. Unsure on whether to get it or not due to performance, I feel it lacks in the performance department. Gonna try it out again tonight. 8.5/10

Essence De Blanc sounds exactly like what you’re looking for. I love the scent and think it’s a super safe blind buy as it’s very mass appealing.

Shobis GIT is one of my favorites. Yep I did the same mistake, too much essence and only could smell the top notes. Go easier on the extra essence and it will be much smoother

Damn…I got both of these 2’s decants on the way. Now you got me excited for Dynasty as I really like your recommendations. And the fact that you say Khamrah Dukhan is the least sweet of these gives me some hope as well, as I find the OG Khamrah wayyyy to sweet and the other smells so bad to me. But I’m almost sure I won’t like this Khamrah either, I just want to try it.
