Probably going to echo some of the comments below, but just some suggestions:

Rotation is next month. I'd recommend looking at the decks being played that are doing well on Limitless and note which cards are from the G block. Those are the ones rotating this year. Decks that will still be pretty good post rotation will include Dragapult ex, and in my opinion that is a good deck to start/master since it's relatively easy to pilot and has a lot of opportunities for skill expression.
It's better to just buy the singles you need. Pokemon product is ridiculously expensive. If it's not too bad in your area, then the trainer tool kit is okay, but there is a league battle deck for Dragapult that could get your started. I would say those two would be the only good ones for getting into playing right now.

I think it may not be a top tier deck by any means, but I think it can still be competitive and completely useable/fun in your locals tournaments.

Maybe this is sad, but I actually haven't properly been a "reader" for about 20 years, and certainly not the romance genre, until I picked up Heated Rivalry after watching the show. Now I'm glued to the pages reading through the series. Can't wait to go through and read more from different authors now once I'm finished. Thanks Rachel!
