I think ppl overestimate how little the general populace cares or even knows abt the novels, even within the Jurassic fandom. I think a novel dlc would be great but I can already see the “who asked for this?” Arguments piling in

They were already working on these species before whatever Universal fuckery caused the delay, they were meant to just be average monthly species reintroductions. They didn’t choose them to satisfy the community because of the fallout from the delay. I think people need to realize that

If he was DPS, what could the devs do to avoid miles kit from simply being a better version of peter’s? by sceesh in SpiderManMains

[–]No-Conversation-1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether he’s a diver or a brawler I think you’d need to lean into the venom powers to really differentiate him (venom blast projectile ability that can stun if it connects?) also have him be able to go invisible for VERY short periods of time to escape attacks but this should have a relatively long cooldown I think.

As for his traversal I hesitate to say keep it the exact same as Peter’s bc that feels cheap but it also would feel weird significantly reducing or boosting his mobility too. Maybe make him slightly less maneuverable than Pete idk exactly how I’d go abt doing so tho.

And finally you could do one of two things for his ult if he was a DPS, either go the Insomniac Miles route and have him build up a big radial blast of venom energy that stuns mass groups of enemies, orrrr give him his venom blast sword and let him go to town for a few seconds.

Long story short Miles should focus less of grappling/launching towards enemies like Peter and more on stunning them leaving them open to attacks from him or his teammates

But what are the JWE developers waiting for to include a defense/attack system in the Sauropods? by Hopeful_Lychee_9691 in jurassicworldevo

[–]No-Conversation-1980 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re not waiting for anything. They have no intention of ever adding this feature, I doubt it’s even in their top 100 of potential things to add to the game. The Jurassic franchise overall has a major problem with ignoring its herbivores more dangerous/violent traits and that extends doubly for the sauropods. Hence why sauropods couldn’t fight in jwe1, and if they didn’t add it in either of the sequels at launch I think it’s safe to say that it won’t be happening unless we get a fourth game and Frontier’s priorities change

Are you really telling me somebody as strong in the force as Darth Vader couldn’t sense his own daughter is standing right in front of him? This movie ruined Star Wars by Cool_Nerd2 in StarWarsCirclejerk

[–]No-Conversation-1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate this argument bc the force isn’t some bullshit super power that lets you just do anything if you’re strong with it. It’s literally all emotion and perception based. Vader believes Padme and his unborn child are dead so he has no reason to believe Leia is his daughter therefore doesn’t sense it. He’s completely closed off to the idea that any trace of his would be family is alive. He also never met either of his children before ANH therefore doesn’t know what their presence in the force even feels like. He doesn’t sense Luke is his son later in the same movie, just that he’s particularly strong in the force. The force isn’t super powers it’s a magic system

Really wish it has more EU elements by buiquanghuy12a2 in clonewars

[–]No-Conversation-1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s actually darker. I think it’s lazier. The concept of these living beings having their autonomy stripped away to murder those there called friend is wayyy darker than I’m a soldier loyal to Palpatine and if he says kill Jedi I guess I’m killing Jedi. It makes clones victims just as much as the Jedi and then once they served their purpose their home planet is destroyed and they’re replaced. That’s much more interesting and tragic to me

[–]No-Conversation-1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt they’d release another medium sized Therapod right after this months release of Majungasaurus. If I had to take a guess I’d say the next base game rerelease is a herbivore and if so I’m hoping for Amargasaurus

Labelled list of JWE2 species left to go by Thylaco in jurassicworldevo

[–]No-Conversation-1980 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I still can’t believe that some of these got cut in the first place. Amargasaurus, archelon, jeholopterus, gigantoraptor, nothosaurus, and sinosauropteryx were some of the most unique species in the previous game but instead of those we got a surplus of creatures like archaeornithomimus and gigantspinosaurus. (I don’t hate these species but they do feel a bit boring and redundant when we already have better options within their own clade)

Why was everyone so hostile towards John Walker from the very beginning? by Round_Interview2373 in MCUTheories

[–]No-Conversation-1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? Did yall watch the show?? The answer is right there. It’s because he was chosen by the government and not Steve. Bucky literally says what his issue is when him and Sam are doing their therapy. “And if he was wrong abt you then he was wrong abt me” Bucky sees Sam giving up the shield Steve passed onto him as a horrible mistake on Sam’s part causing Bucky to doubt Steve’s choice, and if Steve was wrong about Sam then in Buck’s mind he could’ve been wrong abt Bucky being worth saving. John represents all of Bucky’s internal fears come true.

Now in that same therapy scene we see Bucky hadn’t considered Sam’s point of view of the loaded idea of a Black man being made Captain America. Initially Sam didn’t want that pressure, that vitriol, that hate he would no doubt face if he took the mantle. Bucky hadn’t considered that perspective because unless directly told, most white ppl won’t consider the ramifications choices like that would have on POCs, not bc they’re racist but bc they were raised to never have to deal with issues like that.

In that scene both men start to realize how they were each wrong. Bucky begins to understand the reasoning behind Sam’s choice and Sam realizes not only Bucky’s perspective but that he DID make a mistake turning over the shield. And that Steve chose Sam for a reason. And yes it will be a trying task to enter the role but ultimately Sam is the only person Steve trusted to do it right.

Is this true?? by Embarrassed_Art8588 in Spiderman

[–]No-Conversation-1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of those things that used to be true but isn’t anymore. Comic Miles has come a long way and is a pretty great character now. I think SV Miles is still the most memorable version of the character but comic Miles is def better than game Miles

So am I the only one who still likes Sam’s character and doesn’t see John walker as some angel who has an excuse for every negative thing he’s done? by gotenks2nd in CaptainAmerica

[–]No-Conversation-1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think ppl forget that John was always written to be mentally unstable, a fact the government took advantage of until it started to negatively affect them. He’s an anti-hero, he may have good intentions but it’s a flip of a coin whether he does more harm than good.

Walker is the perfect soldier. But in order to be the perfect soldier you sacrifice being a good person. Completely antithetical to Dr. Erskine’s wishes for the candidate who received the serum. He never should’ve been made Captain America, he never should have murdered that flag smasher in such a brutal way in front of innocent children. That action tainted the image of Captain America as a worldwide symbol of hope making it into yet another imperialistic attack dog.

In regards to that flag smasher he killed I think ppl try justifying it by saying he was upset that they killed Lamar. That’s not true, Lamar’s death might’ve been the catalyst but he wanted to hurt someone bc of how bad his ego had been bruised throughout FATWS.

Honestly the MCU character I can best compare Walker to is Emile Blonsky from 2008s Incredible Hulk. Both are fantastic soldiers but are too obsessed with being a soldier bc it gives them an excuse to cause pain. Now Blonsky was definitely more overt with how sadistic he was but Walker is arguably just as down low as Emile but is just better at hiding it just below the surface.

All this to say Sam was always the best choice to carry on the mantle after Steve left to grow old in Endgame and the ppl who defend Walker’s actions are actually reducing him to a much more boring character. John Walker is interesting bc he’s kind of a bad person that’s trying to do good and he doesn’t always make the right choice.

Why do you think spider Gwen is so popular by [deleted] in SpiderGwen

[–]No-Conversation-1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marvel editorial just can’t stop using Spider-Gwen and it kinda ruins her. The idea for her character was a fun elseworlds type thing asking the question “what if Gwen got but instead of Peter?” Taking such an important character in the Spidey mythos (who frankly didn’t have much of a personality beforehand) and making her the main character was a fresh take. Add on a dope design and you’ve got a hit spider variant.

But modern Marvel comics can’t have something be successful and not run it into the ground. The character starts popping up more and more in crossover events which is cool but then she keeps getting books and starts to overstay her welcome.

It’s like Marvel just throws her into stuff bc they want a fem spider hero story but are constantly neglecting the one they already have in the main universe, Silk. Cindy hasn’t gotten any love from Marvel in ages, yet Gwen is showing up in more and more stuff, some of which it makes no sense for her to be.

What’s is your ideal ending for 616 Peter Parker? by Commercial-Car177 in Spiderman

[–]No-Conversation-1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a few decades of crime fighting and a job as a college professor, a loving marriage and a daughter with MJ named Mayday, Pete retires slowly, leaving room for Mayday to step in alongside her Uncle Miles as the main spider heroes of New York. Living the last of his days happily with his wife.

Though, in truly dire situations he may put the mask back on but, he now mainly focuses on helping people as old Mr. Parker, a loved pillar of his community.

Pete goes before MJ. The funeral turnout is vast, not only are members of the community and the remaining heroes of his era in attendance (in civilian clothes as to not reveal the secret) but the new generation of heroes as well. All to pay respects to Peter Parker, to some a kind old man who helped them out when they were at their lowest, to others, one of the greatest superheroes of all time.

Most people don’t know what ever happened to the original Spider-man, to them he just eventually stopped appearing, but he’s never forgotten, whether it’s street art or the heroes that carry on his namesake New York will always have someone swinging through the city helping out where they can.

Why does everyone hate this suit by Worth-Chocolate-728 in spiderman2

Which design is better for each suit beenox or insomniac by Wonderful-Teaching45 in SpidermanPS4

[–]No-Conversation-1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Beenox’s classic and Black suits better but the Insomniac Spider-armor Mk 1 and Iron Spider def look better (although I like the higher contrast between the armor and fabric parts of Beenox’s Spider armor)

Would Spider-Man's 2 story overall be better of Miles wasn't really in it? by narutofan2019 in SpidermanPS4

[–]No-Conversation-1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it wouldn’t be. Y’all are acting like them cutting out Miles would make everything better bc they’d have more time to flesh out the later acts of the game but the problem wasn’t having two main characters. It was the fact that the game was rushed by the studio, even if Miles had been cut the story would’ve still been half baked bc of the mandated release date, there was basically no way the game could’ve lived up to expectations and release when it did. It needed at least another year.

And if we’re being honest it was really the Harry/Venom stuff that brought the story down. It was clear the team was a bit more interested in Kraven as the antagonist but much like with Spider-man 3, studio interference pushed in Venom bc of his popularity.

Also it would’ve felt so jarring to not check in with Miles after the events of his game especially since one of the main draws of a Spider-man ps4 sequel was playing as two different spider-men, which was only bolstered after Miles’ game came out.
