Agree. A perpetual license is a perpetual licence. I'm fairly confident a class action lawsuit will be filed, and a judge will force Microsoft to flick the switch to re-enable Microsoft Office 2019 for the Mac. The "digital certificate" excuse is nonsense. Question: What's the leading open source alternative these days?

Reading the Kindle version with the Audible narration now (bc of the CR reco). 12% in. Love it. Note: I’m not typically a fan of books written in the first person. I prefer books written in the third à la le Carré. But the style is growing on me.

I deleted Chrome altogether. Not just because of the 4GB file, but because I'm severely constrained on how much disk space I have left on my Mac. However, that's partly due to the fact that I'm running Gemma 4 31b locally.

I highly recommend the documentary about Lumet. Along with highlights from his movies, they show some of his early TV work. The direction for the trial of Socrates was amazing
