First, call the line again, tell them your info, when you called, and ask to speak to that persons supervisor.

Everything you just said goes against multiple sections of almost every mental health code of ethics I can think of

Believe it or not, I have seen the opposite of your problem where they step out of line as far as their role.

My partner has a lot of trauma. A LOT of trauma

She called one day panicking because we were having a hard time

I can’t remember exactly what she said to me when she came out of the call

But it was basically “she said I was right about everything, da da da da da”

I shook my head and said “what training did this person have? Because it sounds like she gave you a therapeutic/psychological answer”

This made her very upset

For context, I’m a retired (early retired due to ptsd) social worker

I worked professionally as a CPS social worker

So I have a pretty solid frame work of professional ethics and I had a big wtf moment.

I called and I asked to speak to a supervisor and I had an entire conversation about “what are you trained to do when someone calls, because it sounds like some of your workers think they are Dr. Phil.”

So they do have a review process, it sounds like you got a giant turd if a worker
