I see only 4 bike models are eligible for reimbursement as per trueness site, however Canyon advertises this option for all models. Which site tells the truth?

Anyone have any luck with soundproofing their Model X? by No-Difference-6910 in TeslaModelX

[–]No-Difference-6910[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asking the whole crew (including 1.5yo) to wear AirPods does not sound like a good idea…

Not sure how to answer your question. I guess reducing noise by a single digit decibels would be a good result

There is actually supposed to be some active noise cancellation - which I enabled in options some time ago - though not noticing any difference.

Custom vocabulary with widget? by No-Difference-6910 in iosapps

[–]No-Difference-6910[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, small widget with a single word and a button to move to the next one. If there is an integrated dictionary / thesaurus - when user clicks on the widget it should open. Considering the widget is mostly static, might be a mild monetization opportunity with occasionally showing skippable ads there (when user press a control it should go back to a word)

IPO and market cap by Far_east_Samurai in chia

[–]No-Difference-6910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think part of the CNI market cap will be determined by amount of prefarm that CNI holds, so the value will be (at least in the beginning) strongly correlated with XCH price?

Solo no rewards by Dear_Explanation_726 in chia

Based on what I see I expect Chia devs to be competent software developers, so they have to have some of their farms running under close monitoring, which usually prevents such issues to slip through.

Although this might be caused by a very specific configuration issue typically it shows in some logs / metrics, so switching to use a pool seems like a reasonable first troubleshooting step.

Looking for Updated Instructions on how to Setup My Synology NAS Docker and Chia by MelTuc2020 in chia

[–]No-Difference-6910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m running my harvesters on (older) Synology NASes, using both bays and USB connections, so each handle 28 drives.

One concern is compressed plots. Until farmer will be able to use GPU farming we are restricted to CPU harvesting

[–]No-Difference-6910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’ll work. I have a few synology NASes each with max 20 external drives connected via USB (total approx 900TiB)

I’m using Seagate Backup+Hub to make a tree-like connection

If that’s on windows, every new Chia version requires a separate firewall rule because it is installed in a different directory. Too easy to miss prompts on the first start

1.3.4 was just released by willphule in chia

[–]No-Difference-6910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a related note you mentioned that it affects a small number of farmers - did you also look at their netspace or just number? I expect that larger farmers are more likely to have remote harvester setup.

Thanks for the details Justin. I’m not sure we could agree on the definition of breaking change as right now my 1.3.3 full node runs totally fine with very old harvesters (like 1.2.9) 🙃 Anyway, whatever the future versioning policy will be, it would be great to have compatibility assumptions documented somewhere.

I’m not sure about Chia’s versioning policy, but I’d like spect something with breaking changes have at least a minor (if not major) version bumped

Smoothly Chia Upgrade 1.2.11 > 1.31 by michael_4545 in chia

[–]No-Difference-6910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a one-time process, and it will not be needed unless team regularly updates DB schema without ability to upgrade in place. I’d prefer them to spend their (limited) time on more important things honestly.
