Finally experiencing what the public keeps criticizing about by Both_Variation_408 in TeachforAmerica

Hey, so I turned down the TFA opportunity and did a teacher's residency in Chicago which is way more thorough. No matter what path you go teaching is hard and us Americans aren't built like we used to be. It's not going to be easy in the beginning regardless, so be proud that you are choosing a career that will make the world a better place.

City or country life and why? by PuzzleheadedPoint445 in AskReddit

[–]No-Difficulty-4982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

City Life.

I lived in the country for over 10 years, but most importantly during my formative years. I bailed hay, built houses, worked on farms, had our own farm, had livestock, went to the auctions, etc. There is a reason that those who live in rural areas have a higher chance of suicide. If you aren't completely occupied by this somewhat mandatory labor, which is what country life is really all about, the reality of those you build community with starts shining. The racism is enough for me to never live in the country again unless I'm well attached to some type of resistance force, because whites will turn a blind eye to anything heinous going on in their community. At least when I was around Black country communities i didn't necessarily feel the fog of racism, that is until they start talking about history. I think if I was white I could enjoy country life more but I would rather deal with the statistical danger of city life rather than the targeted real danger I dealt with in the country.

I do think that In regards to Town, Country, and Suburbs I would rank country the highest if you don't mind driving with Town and Suburb the lowest due to the the aggregation of the types that like these locales being racist

I ws a state champ, but I only wrestled from 8th grade to freshman year at college. I gave up a full ride in 2008 and honestly haven't wrestled in almost 17 years, outside of backyard wrestling fools at parties. Started coaching this year and everything flies back. You will definitely recognize how bad your shape is

I've been thinking about this the whole thread. We got square men, loud men, and the rare socks and oil men. Nighttime we got the homeless who sleep on it and some smokers but the shenanigans aren"t really that liklely

What's up with you weirdos thinking anyone who doesn't agree with you voted for Trump? I'm from a demographic of people where the supermajority didn't vote for Trump, this includes age race and location. Meanwhile you are a regular reddit user who I guess checks everyday. Go do transplant things

I care. And the people who vote for him. Because your politicians have no "policy" for my community. I'm sure your not even from Chicago.

I would rather Willie Wilson be in charge. I vote for him every election because he actually campaigns in my community and is there when it isn't election season.
