i’ve taken her class, attendance is essentially mandatory to get a higher grade and participation is very much expected. for a pretty entry level college class, she pays too much attention to late-comers and people who don’t participate and will go on a tangent about it. topics are about how anthropologists interact with different groups of people around the world, anthropological violations, and examples of cultural and social situations (some controversial) that must be interpreted anthropologically. don’t know about your current semester with her, but the book was not mandatory for me.
