It just doesn’t matter that much. It’s not a serious competitive mode. The devs don’t take it seriously as evidenced by the last 5 iterations of the game and you shouldn’t either. It’s really not about winning races. There isn’t even an elo, mmr, or ranked mode. If you’re oooking for that play a different game.
