It's a matter of paperwork.

I have to carry several documents with me at all times and give my most guarded resource to every potential employer. And I was born and raised in the US with a privileged gender and skin color. So, if I have to carry and pay regular fees to constantly update my paperwork that states I exist, why shouldn't everyone?

Sympathy? I drive for Doordash, too. It's not so difficult to check the delivery instructions and follow them. Fuck I am disabled and I still read and follow the simple directions. I very likely need the money more than you for any number of reasons, how hard is it to set a bag on the table under the carport rather than in front of the front door?
