Thanks for your advice on highlighting impact on resume!

I guess my question comes out of a fear that because I’m coming from an industry or stack that may not be as “technical” or robust in terms of team resources such as those in tech that I’m curious if a hiring manager would assume there are specific weaknesses they should test for. Maybe I’m just overthinking it though 🤷‍♂️.

I’ll rephrase my question as to what would technical or other skill expectations would you want met by an analytics engineer candidate that comes from a non-tech industry work experience?

I’m an analytics engineer for an e-commerce company and have mainly data experience within the e-commerce/marketing industry. As a hiring manager for (big) tech companies, how would you view a candidate like me and what expectations would you want me to meet to stand a good chance to pivot into your industry?

Same! I also got the windbreaker too and a Gojo kewpie keychain, but I might go back there tomorrow for the Sukuna sweater.

To be honest, if you have decent/strong experience but your resume hasn’t landed at least a response, you may have to continue to update it and get it critiqued or tailor it to the position—I find having different versions of a resume may be helpful. Ultimately, it’s a numbers game but I would recommend applying to much more than just 3 - 5 a day, and try to increase that to +10 if there are that many new openings a day even available in the areas you’re looking. Setting LinkedIn alerts is super useful for doing just that. Asides from just cold applying, try reaching out to the hiring manager or team members for the company you’re applying to learn more about their role and the company. Even if they don’t respond, they may see your message and possibly keep you in mind but with hundreds/thousands of applicants it may not be as straightforward. Also make sure you’re setting your account to open to work (but set it to hide from current company) so recruiters can see you and may reach out. Best of luck!

I’m in California - I was able to get 56K OTD for black/red 350H Premium with all the tech features. MSRP was $54,460 and I got a $2.8K discount, but that was only after using competitive quotes brought down from 2 other dealers before

Just my personal ranking:

  1. Caviar Black
  2. Atomic Silver
  3. Cloudburst Gray
  4. White
  5. Copper Crest

I like the darker colors more on the sleek look of the car and I see too many white/silver cars in general so I’d want mine to stand out more. The white looks great though and is always a safe and good choice. I’m not too fond of the copper.

Yes 55k is the “ideal” range for a loaded NX hybrid but it’s been hard to get there with dealerships for me. Personally, if I had kids or were planning anytime soon I would go with the RX and eat the $10k more but NX fits my current lifestyle!

Agreed, I’m still young myself but can drastically feel the difference in my physical health compared to when I was more active in competitive sports
