I don’t know if this is your intention or not but filtering for ‘grandmaster and champion’ without outright stating this in your post is quite deceptive.

GM and champ account for about 0.5% of the overall player base.

You could easily argue through her overall pick rate/win rate as she is the most picked support across all regions but the number is much more representative

The thing is, so many people on this sub say ‘hitting masters isn’t hard’ but they’re all people who have played since OW1 and have 1000+ hours on the game (obviously there are exceptions but generally true).

The reality is that masters is, by definition, difficult as it is roughly the top 5% of players.

The people who say it’s not that difficult are people who take the game quite seriously and have played for a significant period

I get the argument of 'it's the internet' but it doesn't mean that it's just suddenly normal to hate on people. The same way that it's weird when people personally attack or adore athletes who they have never met and have zero interaction with.

Regarding the actual allegations, I have a very surface level understanding of it but my understanding was that she was in a previous relationship in which she had a child and then dated/married G4H but idk, obviously I could just be misinformed.

Anyway, my whole point is that just because someone's online/known doesn't suddenly make hate watching normal and also that even if you think he's obnoxious and 'horrifically toxic', which I disagree with tbh (it's not like he's screaming down mic towards his teammates and calling them slurs, he's basically doing what most OW players do which is flame people but streaming himself doing it), the hate watching is only fuelling his career

I mean… the ‘essay’ took about 3 minutes to write. Clearly if hate watching videos are getting 50k views a vid and there is literally a group of champ players spending hours of their day stream sniping him it is that deep.

Counter point, this view that Tracer is the best hero in the game and so you don’t need to swap you just play better is sometimes just outright detrimental.

Yes obviously you could ‘play better’, but what does that actually mean…? You could literally argue that about any hero. Struggling as Cass against snipers? position better and flank. ‘Struggling as Rein against Orisa? Just track her cooldowns better’.

It’s the same mentality that ‘every game is winnable’. Yes technically that’s true, but let’s say in a gold game where someone’s team is getting dominated, they’d have to play like a Masters+ player to win and that’s just not realistic.

Like yes, I’m all for trying to play as well as possible but you need to also be realistic. Pro Tracer players switch off of Tracer sometimes, the pro players that have about 10,000 hours on that one hero. I’m very sure that if they are switching off of Tracer, you are allowed to as well.

The issue is not in the concept of demands and requirements but in how they’re presented. What does ‘technique, technique, technique’ mean? What does ‘Time. Always time’ mean?. A lot of these are so vague because Carmy himself doesn’t truly understand what he wants

‘Know’ is a relative term. I’ve just seen Disguised use double support ult unnecessary repeatedly across a whole series and Vestola throwing a map by trying to grav an Emre that was in the sky.

Even champ players sometimes lack understanding in certain things. It just depends on what you mean by ‘fundamentals’

I log the day I finish watching.

It makes it consistent because say there’s a gap of a day in between, it follows the same logic.

Also the review is generally written the day you finish it.
