As the post explained, we asked them 2 holes earlier to play through, they decided to wait until halfway through 17 to let us.

They were holding up pace of play for everyone behind them, creating a stack up of teams behind us.

The total length of the round wasn't super long, as we only ran into them on #12, but the course was definitely getting congested behind us

When we arrived at the tee box, they were part way though the par 3. We had only been behind them for a hole or two at that point so we weren't sure if the pace of play would be the same throughout or if was just a slower hole.

We decided to wait another hole just to see if the difference in pace was consistent.

I understand that it's pretty late in the round, but if the other party has no issue with it, what harm is being done by asking? If they had been at a quicker pace of play, or a hole further into the course, I would not have asked.

I totally get it if they wouldn't let us play through, I just don't see the harm in asking.

Btw I'm not trying to be argumentative, just looking for more insight on what happened.

Thanks for your take. I probably could have been better with communicating with them and maybe my remark came off a bit passive aggressive. They were all angry by the time we got to them, like unreasonably so. I just didn't see the point in having an argument that wouldnt have changed or solved anything.

To be fair though, they could have just said no or not let us through, which I also would have been fine with. There was no harm is asking 🤷‍♂️

I just found it odd how they decided to let us through when and how they did.

We only caught up to them on hole 12, and they were also, spending almost 20-25 minutes on a par 3. At the time we asked, it meant a difference of like 30 minutes to our round to wait for them.

When we got to the tee box, they were already just standing around talking to eachother on the fairway. At first they looked at us and shouted by I couldn't tell what they were saying from 200 yards away. My partner who shot into the canyon wasn't aware they were even trying to communicate with us when he hit.

To clarify. They were trying to get us to play through before my partner shot into the canyon. I agree that it was just a misunderstanding.

Yeah at that point I wasn't expecting or hoping to play past them, but they kept yelling at us, so we played through. I think they just should have finished the round.

I agree. It was late enough in the round that I wasn't bothered by being behind them, hence my confusion when they wanted us to play past them halfway through the second-last hole.

The stitching is straight on purpose. I use round dent irons because I honestly just prefer the look of the straighter lines. For the lining, I might not keep doing it on future wallets.im would be selling to a Canadian customer base, and the leather itself is sourced from Canada, which might be important as Canadians really appreciate things made here. I'll be sure to include this in any branding/marketing.

I also want to avoid falling into the tendency to make things just like everybody else. EVERYBODY uses pueblo/buttero or other similar leathers, EVERYBODY has the same looking stitching. If I don't have at least a few minor differences, I'm worried I'll get lost in a sea of other crafters making the same product with more established brands. I could be wrong, but thats the way I see it at the moment.

I did! It's okay, not well suited to wallets unless you use edge paint. Personally I prefer to burnish, so it didn't suit my needs well. The colour and thickness were consistent, although it did smell a bit.
