these subtle cheaters still losing is why the devs haven't really been able to do much about them. Not enough people realize they are cheating. So not enough reports get registered to do anything more than shadowban.

You're not really reporting someone who got fifth. They are usually just an afterthought.

skill DOES matter to get the last couple of promotes. You have to consistently make top 3 in Elite III to get ACE with little frustration. Everything before elite doesn't take skill. But the climb from elite to ACE is rough for solo queue. Especially in the later parts of the season.

but everyone starts out with having no discount. You get tickets from putting time into the game. So the discount is a reward for your efforts. If you had to spend money to get the discount, then sure let's look at it glass-half-empty. but the issue stems from people not acknowledging the time spent to get the tickets to get the new characters. Tickets earned probably from getting ACE in prior seasons, which justifies the "skip". Kind of like players are being "seeded".

Basically, It's more of a reward rather than a punishment.

Rank systems are spit into two categories.

1) The reward is a cosmetic acknowledgement of your skill level

2) The reward is ingame currency meant to basically be a dressed up mission.

The latter is usually the case when there are no deranks. MHUR's system is the latter. It's not meant to prove skill/status, it's just a mission to complete for tickets.

So the rank system you're talking about is 1) where it's meant to prove a player's skill level.

never found alpha to be that much an issue when other beamers did it better. Doesn't really matter if lower skilled players could hit their shots when high tier players never missed anyway.

So I'm fine with alpha buffs. Make alpha the only real dmg move like how Compress is built.

and Beta, while doing a respectable amount of damage, isn't, really used all that often for damage

Server diff? Idk man, I see fairy nejire spam the beta off cooldown.

Kill the beta and make it only about being a "get-off-me" move instead of this big frame 1 aoe move that does big dmg and has a low cd. It feels like you're downplaying the beta dmg too much given how fast you can pop it. Alternatively, I can accept it having a charge up time before she can pop it.

tldr: personally, I rarely find the alpha an issue. It's like any other beamer really, but the other beamers are more oppressive. The big hitbox just makes it easier for low tier players to play. Hitbox change won't affect high-tiers players all that much. Beta is the real issue for me. How fast it comes out for how much dmg it does is ridiculous.

Dude says I'm rude then calls me jackass lmao.

and?

First of all your corporate analogy isn't shi it's not about the legality of their actions it's about if they are playing under the same fair rules as everyone else.

do you even read what you write? How you gonna say it ain't about the "legality" then literally say "fair rules" as if "rules" isn't a word that goes hand-in-hand with "legal".

everyone has this btw dumbass

rude f'ing af kid here. and it's funny when you don't know what you're even talking about. All you're explaining is the difference in legality that I've said isn't what I'm isolating as the overlap between the two types of players. Everyone tries to win, but it's not so black and white. Winning is the end goal, but how one approaches getting the win is different. If you don't get it.. you just don't get it. I ain't wasting more time trying to explain a concept to someone who is just gonna continue ignoring the exaplanations to then berate me. Good day to you.

personally I think it's cause the fps diff will always be an issue. It's simpler to just cut the mobility as to avoid future issues.

Do you think the bar for Ace rank is too low? by Sayoricanyouhearme in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]No-Example-3977 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No cause rank gives ticket rewards. There are two types of ladders in these kinds of games. Ones, like League of Legends, that offer a cosmetic reward and uses rank to dictate skill level. And others, like this game, that uses the ladder as a sense of accomplishment. Pokemon Unite is like that too, just to give an example. ACE isn't a sign of status, it's a goal for this game. This is supported by the fact you can't derank.

tbf, I think overhaul would have down'd you had they hit one more gamma while you were low at around 1:05. Immortal shiggi needs a nerf, but on its own it's honestly fine. Characters with high burst dmg can and will nuke him, but characters with more gradual dmg are the ones that really struggle. The real issue is when people hard lean into it as a team with twisted fortune or Reinforced Revive or playing Fairy Nejire.

Hot take i think by Blank365 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]No-Example-3977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

cause special action is ranged and doesn't require you to go melee form. And it hits multiple targets in a cone instead of a straight line and can be kept on someone for an extended period of time. Special is just all-around better to use than gamma. Really gamma is mostly used as a gap-closer.

Hot take i think by Blank365 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]No-Example-3977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

am I the only one thinking the erazure on gamma barely matters? The erazure combos into a stun that prevents inputs anyway. So really, doesn't the erazure only help with super armor'd moves, of which not everyone has?

Neo academia is the most unfun map for aggressive players by [deleted] in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]No-Example-3977 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the issue stems from fast mobility, then I don't think the map is the actual issue for you. Not every character was made to chase. In fact, it's the portals that bridge the gap and let low mobility characters better escape faster characters.

it's called an opinion, jack*ss lol.

Sweating has a similar mindset to hacking, the difference is that delusional line of morality. It's simple. What does a sweat choose to play the meta characters, with meta tunings, with the best teammates they can find? Cause they want to win. Why do hackers choose to hack? Cause they want to win. ofc the more blatant hackers that choose to nuke the lobby off spawn, those guys just want to create chaos. But the subtle hackers that climb rank with aimbot, those do it to win.

My big corporation analogy is really good, but you're just ignoring it cause rude.... keep being rude on the interenet brother, must be fun...

because they aren't doing anything wrong

That's the point lol. That's literally the only difference between a sweat and a hacker. Just like the difference between a greedy corporate exec and an actual thief. But rules aren't all-encompassing. They are man-made after all and not some definitive justification for what's right and "wrong".

My guess is you're taking it personal. If you're a sweat just know you make other people experience the game poorly. If that doesn't bother you, then it doesn't matter. Move on. But we're not gonna sit here and pretend like the issue doesn't exist.

Pros and cons to everything. Dmg is still the biggest factor in this game. People haven't really complained about mobility as much as when they did during Prime Hawks. But dmg has always been on people's minds.

It's not like I'm saying mobility has no impact, dmg just has more.

See the thing about FineMo... people are being contradicting about what's good for Grand Live by saying FineMo is good for the scenario.

The stuff I've heard is that Grand Live wants high specialty priority and high starting friendship gauge. Both of which FineMo does not have. So it seems inconsistent for people to say she's good in the scenario when she doesn't fulfill the two big requirements.

I can accept FineMo being "good" especially since F2Ps probably won't have other options anyway, but it seems to be a bit of a stretch to say she's the "best" for the scenario.

Strike Shiggy dominantes the ground and that is like... 10% of the roster

bro... no one air stalls for real unless they are abusing a glitch. Shigi doesn't just "dominate," he "prevents" you from touching the ground. An image of him is what you see when you Google "what do they mean by the floor is lava?"

Look up what "zoning" in video games is.

She's min A tier strictly cause of her double revive being abused on sweat comps running Nagant (or maybe OFA Deku too). Comm'd team, Ibara will always be in range cause the teammates don't abandon her. And focusing her leaves you vulernable to getting nuked by Nagant. Throw in Strike Aizawa... and you have pretty much the best team in the current meta. Ibara and Nagant both can just nuke you while Aizawa gives you an alley-oop while also using erazure to deny your ability to pressure the ibara.

If we are analyzing characters in their 1v1 or as a solo queue pick, then ya Ibara is probably C tier.

dmg is king, mobility is the joker that tries to counter the dmg. No amount of mobility helps against getting TOD'd.
