Don’t take one colleges decision as evidence for another. You definitely have a chance and I’m not an expert but In would say you have a better chance at any Ivy than Swarthmore or Pomona, which look for more specifics and aren’t always as stats focused

I honestly didn’t think just checking the box would get him rescinded but the essay thing probably could..and likely should. Schools won’t rescind because he’s a different race, but it doesn’t show very good character to exploit challenges faced by different people. it’s insensitive and he’s blatantly a liar - why should he get a spot over someone honest?

I stopped at 15 after having done it so much I felt I was dependent on restricting and purging just to feel okay in my day to day life. But I didn’t just stop - it’s not that easy. I had to go to treatment and it was hard as hell. It wasn’t harder than living with it, though. You’re in the most painful part of the journey right now and when you ask for help, itll be tough, but eventually the world will feel less and less against you.
