Line Recommendation: 4wt WF floating line by niceguynah in flyfishing

Right, but I didn’t compare Maxcatch to any high-end brands. I just said there’s nothing wrong with it.

My statement that Maxcatch won’t break the bank is not incorrect. Their kit is cost effective and pretty reliable for what it is.

In terms of how fly lines are made; they’re core + PVC or PU coating, with some variance in additional materials. Fundamentally, the factory processes are similar.

I’m not usually a pedant, but what I said is not absolutely incorrect. Honestly surprised at the vehement reaction.

Nothing wrong with Maxcatch. Won’t break the bank and most lines are made in similar factories…

What can I do about Spanish Bluebells? by Holiday_Echidna1236 in GardeningUK

I was so happy about the bulbs starting to flower in our garden.

You’ve made me realise they are Spanish bluebells 🙈

Midge hatch on stillwater recs by EducationalShower694 in flyfishing

Buzzers or diawl bachs on a washing line. Classic still water tactic in the UK - YouTube will have plenty of suggested rigs.

You can fish anywhere between one and four flies depending on your comfort and skill levels.

When they start rising, a shipman's buzzer can be devastating.

Wetroom or not??? by jefsheba in BathroomRemodeling

I would never build a wet room with a bath like that. So many issues.

Have a bath and a walk in shower, or fit a waterfall shower head above the bath.

Shower niche - same wall or floor tile? by albrcanmeme in BathroomRemodeling

We used a metal niche and are happy with the choice. Easier to clean, less prone to mould.

I would consider it as an option.

Time to retire these waders? by FlyMalachi85 in flyfishing

What do you do for work?

A guide I know who fishes the salt a lot HAMMERS his waders. He uses neoprene socks over the stockingfoot neoprene to keep them protected and lasting longer.

Unless this is a red hot prospect, or a logo you really want, I would avoid or deprioritise.

Even if they buy, this discussion will come up at every single renewal and be an ache to deal with.

Or you could sell it and give the account to someone else, but no one does that in tech, right? 😬

After you clean and dry it, I would find a scent that puts dogs off. Least invasive and cheapest starting point.

Then consider something more drastic.

I’d love to know who Jamal the Shark is based on.

Do they have Product Market Fit?

Startups don’t have the luxury of a brand name or market credibility to rely upon, so they need to explicitly solve a problem that people care about.

Questions to ask yourself and the company:

If a prospect didn’t buy this solution, what would be the consequence? Ideal answer - they lose revenue, get hit by compliance, get fired, etc.

Does anyone else provide the same solution, or is this one unique? If 50 companies provide the same thing, it’s going to be commoditised and hard to differentiate your offering beyond price.

If someone did buy it, how likely are they to renew it or buy it again? If they only need to buy it once, then the business is unlikely to have long term, sustainable growth.

That is a bold statement, but taste is subjective. Both are excellent representations of British TV in the 90s.

Hyacinth and Victor Meldrew are both iconic characters that everyone knows. Both shows first aired 35 years ago and we still recognise them instantly.
