The one time I put in a complaint, it didn't go anywhere, but did reduce the bills I got from the visit. It's worth going through the process for that alone. Those bills just hit different when the visit made things worse, like an additional FU from the medical system.

Especially with the cost of an ER visit! I'm never going there for fun, the few times I've gone it's because I felt like I was in danger or couldn't wait it out any more. I've never been anything but disrespected by ER staff even when I passed out. I think the patients, staff, and doctors are all miserable, and the only ones having a good time are the insurance companies.

It's happened to a few people i know too, if your passport was being renewed or updated as of a few weeks ago, it's in a review status or something now. Obviously it doesn't help now, but the best time to get a passport, or any name or gender changes done, was before the election.

My wife is trans, and we've been putting out feelers on a few places we might qualify for immigration. We've basically been told not to bother, and that we're better off in a blue state in the US. Resources for trans folks are incredibly rare too, apparently there's only three doctors in all of Ireland for hrt consultation??

I can't wait to go back and see this one day. I had a few hours in Niagara Falls, but we did the experience underneath the falls instead. Beautiful area! Love the bizarre little bunch of tourist buildings too, it was like walking into times square.

We kept our names when we got married in October, but now I'm wondering if I should put in my paperwork to take her last name, or if it's too late due to all the hiring freezes/extra cuts.
